Coveted Big Man Isley Verbals
The Panther Train picked up its Caboose of the future when Carter Isley of Albia, Iowa verbaled to wrestle for Doug Schwab and UNI.
Isley, an Iowa State Champion at 220 last year is the #61 overall recruit for the class of 2016. Carter had a fine showing this Summer at Fargo where he made the Greco Finals and placed 5th in Freestyle. Isley is currently ranked 5th in the country at 285 pounds.
Carter explained why UNI was the choice for him:
"I liked UNI a lot! I really bonded with the guys and coaches very well. They like to train hard but have fun while doing it."
Isley chose UNI over Iowa, Purdue and Nebraska. He will slot in perfectly for the Panthers who have one more year from Blaize Cabell before JJ Everard uses his last year of eligibility. This will enable Isley to have a redshirt season before getting thrust into action.
