Stevan Micic To Transfer
Any D1 Coaches looking for a monster 125? A hammer just hit the market in Stevan Micic. The Indiana product just completed his Redshirt year for Northwestern and is on the Junior World Team. Northwestern recently announced Stevan's departure on their website. Micic turned around a previous loss to Daton Fix to earn two wins over the Oklahoma superstar.
As a Redshirt he knocked off All American Connor Youtsey, Kory Mines, Sean Russell and David Terao. There is no word yet on what school Stevan will be transferring to.
Northwestern released the following press release:
EVANSTON, Ill. – Redshirt freshman Stevan Micic has withdrawn from Northwestern University and intends to transfer, head wrestling coach Drew Pariano announced today.
"It was a privilege to have the opportunity to coach Stevan and witness his growth as both a student and athlete over the last year," said Pariano. "He's a gifted wrestler and has a bright future. We support his decision and wish him nothing but the best going forward personally, academically and athletically."
The 125-pounder posted a 19-3 record while wrestling unattached during the 2014-15 campaign.
