Michael Kemerer is seeking to become a three-time champ, four-time finalist and join some pretty elite company. (History concludes this article). Additionally, the senior leader will look to pace #8-Franklin Regional to a second straight team title. But to do, they'll have to usurp #6-Archer (GA), a new team to Powerade and the back-to-back champs at the Kansas City Stampede.

Another out-of-state, and nationally ranked, newcomer to Powerade looms in a very balanced Buchanan (CA) squad.

Kemerer's only loss in his three prior years came in his sophomore season when he defaulted in the finals to Canon-McMillan's Connor Schram. But his road to history won't be easy. In fact, his weight class (145) is by far the deepest in the Powerade field, which is annually one of the toughest in the country.

A season ago, Kemerer was one of six Panthers to reach the finals and one of five to win the title. Returning with Kemerer is Devin Brown, Spencer Lee, Josh Maruca, and Josh Shields.

Shields, along with Luke Pletcher (Greater Latrobe), who's just a Junior, are also on pace to join the 3xer club this year.

Their Powerade careers are documented at the end of the article as well.

First, here are the weight class capsules with contenders, credentials, notes, and picks.

106:
2013 Final: Devin Brown, Franklin Reg. md. Connor Sheehan, Solanco, 12-3
2009 Final: Tyson Dippery, C. Dauphin dec. Connor Schram, Canon-Mac, 3-2

The Seeds:
1. #3-Fr. Gavin Teasdale, Jefferson-Morgan, PA - FILA Champ
2. Jr. Aaron Burket, Chestnut Ridge, PA - State 6th
3. Jr. Alan Diltz, Benton, PA - KOM Runner-Up
4. So. Gavin Park, Brookville, PA
5. So. Jacob Dunlop, Belle Vernon, PA
6. So. Kyle Sisk, Strasburg, VA - State 7th
7. So. Alex Salas, Pine Richland, PA
8. Jr. Abe Guariello, Ft. LeBoeuf, PA

Other Contenders:
Fr. Gavin Smith, Archer, GA - KC Stampede 8th
Fr. Quincy Monday, Arlington, TX
Fr. Logan Macri, Canon-Mac, PA
Fr. Ethan Leake, Buchanan, CA
Fr. Patrick Glory, Delbarton, NJ - Beast 4th
Fr. Josh Humphrey, Huntington, WV
Fr. Job Chishko, Penn-Trafford, PA

Notes: Teasdale, who was in the hunt for a Cadet World title, is the class of the field here. But there are a ton of up-and-comers that will be stars in their own right eventually. Macri, Glory, Chishko, and Humphrey have all appeared in the Top 50 of their class at one time or another.

Willie’s Picks:  1. Teasdale   2. Glory   3. Diltz   4. Monday
Ryan’s Picks: 1. Teasdale  2. Glory  3. Monday  4. Diltz

113:
2013 Final: Spencer Lee, Franklin Reg. md. Ethan McCoy, Latrobe, 14-4
2009 Final: Jimmy Gulibon, Derry dec. Corey Keener, Blue Mtn., 9-2

Seeds:
1. #4-Sr. Devin Brown, Frankin Reg., PA - Returning Champ, 2x State Finalist
2. Jr. Charlie Lenox, McDowell, PA - Returning 4th, KOM Runner-Up (at 120)
3. So. Daniel Planta, St. Paul's, MD - Returning 6th
4. So. Jared Donahue, Parkersburg, WV - State Runner-Up
5. So. Gage Bayless, Reynolds, PA
6. So. Cole Manley, Altoona, PA - Returning 7th
7. So. Hunter Baxter, Pine Richland, PA
8. So. Vince DeStefanis, Hempfield, PA

Other Contenders:
Fr. Logan Smith, Archer, GA
Fr. Chris Gaxiola, Buchanan, CA - Zinkin Champ at 106
Fr. Zach Ortman, Parkland, PA

Notes: Brown should cruise here, but it's learning about the rest of the field that's interesting. Lenox was 4th (losing twice to Brendan Price both times) at the same weight last year and I like him to reach the finals opposite Brown. That's IF he can get past a tough semi against either a rising Daniel Planta (who was a match away from placing at the Beast) or the scrappy Cole Manley. I was always under the impression that Manley was undersized, so it's a bit surprising to see him at 113.
Also pay attention to Gaxiola, who is off to a really fine start in California, but at 106.

Willie’s Picks: 1. Brown   2. Lenox   3. Planta   4. Manley
Ryan’s Picks:  1. Brown  2.Lenox  3. Donahue  4. Planta

120:
2013 Final: Luke Pletcher, Latrobe dec. Ethan Lizak, Parkland, 3-2
2009 Final: Nico Megaludis, Franklin Reg. dec. Mike Rhone, Benton, 2-1 RO

Seeds:
1. #1-So. Spencer Lee, Franklin Reg., PA - Returning Champ, State Champ
2. #9-Jr. Ty Agaisse, Delbarton, NJ - State Champ
3. #19-Jr. Alex Mackall, Walsh Jesuit, OH - State Champ, Returning 6th
4. HM-Sr. Logan Grass, Huntington, WV - State Champ, Returning 5th
5. Sr. Kyson Levin, Pleasant Grove, UT - State Champ
6. HM-Jr. Kennedy Monday, Arlington, TX - State Runner-Up, Super 32 Placer
7. Jr. Vinny Artigues, Archer, GA - State 3rd, KC Stampede 5th
8. Jr. Austin Spears, Parkersburg, WV - State Runner-Up

Other Contenders:
Sr. Ross Arve, Buchanan, CA - Zinkin Champ
Jr. Trey Chalifoux, Father Ryan, TN - State 3rd
Fr. Zach Hartman, Belle Vernon, PA
Fr. Luke Kemerer, Hempfield, PA
Sr. Brendan Howard, Jefferson-Morgan, PA
Sr. Connor Ziegler, Moeller, OH
Fr. Cole Matthews, Reynolds, PA
Fr. Brandon Swink, Strasburg, VA

Notes: For the third weight in a row, we have a Cadet World Team Member as the top seed. Here it's Spencer Lee, who might be the best high school wrestler in the country.
But it's always something interesting when you have the state champs all present from OH-PA-NJ in one bracket. Agaisse was absent from the Beast last week and Mackall is coming off a rather disappointing 7th place finish at Ironman. Expect them both to be hungry.
Adding more intrigue is that there are several high medal contenders unseeded. Where they fall in the bracket will go a long way in determing how it plays out. In particular, pay attention to Chalifoux, Arve, and Howard.

Willie’s Picks:  1. Lee   2. Mackall    3. Agaisse   4. Monday
Ryan’s Picks:  1. Lee  2. Agaisse  3. Mackall  4. Monday

126:
2013 Final: Dalton Macri, Canon-Mac dec. Ryan Millhof, Collinsville, 8-6
2009 Final: Mitchell Port, Bellefonte md. Dave Makara, Burrell, 10-2

Seeds:
1. Jr. Jacob Lizak, Parkland, PA - State 5th, Returning 3rd
2. HM-Jr. Ethan McCoy, Greater Latrobe, PA - Returning Runner-Up, KOM Runner-Up
3. Jr. Taylor Ortz, Brookville, PA - Returning 6th, State 3rd
4. HM-Sr. Ryan Friedman, St. Paul's, MD - Returning 8th, Prep 3rd
5. HM-Jr. Durbin Lloren, Buchanan, CA - State 5th
6. So. Dylan Campbell, Strasburg, VA - State 5th
7. Jr. Wyatt Alvis, Arlington, TX - State 6th
8. Jr. Stone Kepple, Derry, PA

Other Contenders:
Fr. Justin McCoy, Chestnut Ridge, PA
#16-So. Gus Solomon, Franklin Reg., PA - Ironman 4th

Notes: A weight that is wildly up in the air. Pay attention to this bracket early, especially with Solomon unseeded. Injured all of last year, he proved he's a true contender with a fantastic performance and wins over ranked opponents at Ironman.
Lizak is up a couple weight classes from last year, as is McCoy, who beat Beast and State Champ, Luke Karam, in King of the Mountain semis.
I'm also really excited to see Justin McCoy in action.
But the guy I have my eye on as a finalist is from the 'other' coast. Gimme Durbin Lloren to win the whole shebang.

Willie’s Picks:  1. Lloren   2. Solomon   3. Lizak   4. E. McCoy
Ryan’s Picks:  1. Solomon 2. Lizak  3. E. McCoy  4.  Ortz

132:
2013 Final: Tyler Smith, Franklin Reg. dec. Sam Krivus, Hempfield, 7-0
2009 Final: Frank Martellotti, Shady Side dec. Tyler Rauenzahn, Blue Mtn., 10-4

Seeds:
1. #1-Jr. Luke Pletcher, Greater Latrobe, PA - Super 32 Champ, 2x FloNationals Finalist
2. #2-Sr. AC Headlee, Waynesburg, PA - Beast Champ, FloNationals 3rd
3. #5-Jr. Mickey Phillippi, Derry, PA - Super 32 and FloNats Placer
4. HM-Sr. Jordan Allen, Huntington, WV - Returning 7th, State Champ
5. HM-Jr. Chris Diaz, Archer, GA - State Runner-Up, NHSCA Runner-Up
6. HM-Jr. Ben Anderson, Pleasant Grove, UT - State Champ, Ironman 7th, Reno 5th
7. Sr. Nic Campbell, Strasburg, VA - State Champ
8. So. Eli King, Father Ryan, TN - State Champ

Other Contenders:
Jr. Phil Mary, Peters Township, PA - Returning 4th

Notes: A top heavy weight. Very top heavy. That's what happens when you get three Top 5 guys and #1 in America is on the line.
Before we get to Pletcher-Headlee, AC has to get past the ultra savvy Mickey Phillippi. Phillippi can run hot and cold. But he can also beat about anyone in the country. I'll take Headlee here because that's the way the odds lean, but wouldn't be surprised in the least to see Phillippi get his hand raised.
The most recent appearance from Pletcher was a 2-1 win over Korbin Myers in KOM finals. For Headlee, it was a 3-1 in the finals of the Beast over TK Megonigal.
Both guys are going to have difficulted finding openings against the other. But I give Pletcher the edge in both crisp leg attacks and counter offense.
While Headlee is probably a better scrambler, I doubt that comes in to play; Pletcher is much too fundamentally sound.

Willie’s Picks: 1. Pletcher   2. Headlee   3. Phillippi   4. Diaz
Ryan’s Picks:  1. Pletcher  2. Headlee  3. Phillippi  4.  Anderson

138:
2013 Final: Michael Kemerer, Franklin Reg. dec. Vincenzo Joseph, Pitt CC, 3-2
2009 Final: Travis Shaffer, Derry dec. Joe Locksmith, Osceola, 3-2

Seeds:
1. #1-Sr. Sam Krivus, Hempfield, PA - 3x Super 32 Champ, 2x FloNats Champ
2. #8-So. Cam Coy, Penn-Trafford, PA - State Champ, S32 5th, Returning 3rd
3. Sr. Grant Aycox, Archer, GA - State Champ, KC Stampede 3rd
4. Sr. Tyler Vath, Saegertown, PA - Returning 8th, State 4th
5. Jr. Mitchell Hartman, Belle Vernon, PA - Returning 5th
6. Jr. Jacoby Ward, Moeller, OH - State 4th
7. Sr. Chase Childers, Parkersburg, WV - State Runner-Up
8. Jr. Dylanger Potter, Arlington, TX - State Runner-Up

Other Contenders:
Fr. Trent Hidlay, Mifflin County, PA
Sr. Landon Gates, Pleasant Grove, UT - State 5th

Notes: Last year Powerade served as the first national stage for Cam Coy, who lost early but came back to win 6 straight consi matches (including one over the kid who beat him) to take 3rd.
It's shaping up for another chapter in the Krivus-Coy saga. Krivus has won every head-to-head between the two including a 5-1 decision in the KOM finals two weeks ago. But ultimately, it was Coy who on their state bracket in Hershey.
It will be good to get a look at Aycox after a good showing in KC. And watch for Hidlay here, a very solid freshman.

Willie’s Picks:  1. Krivus   2. Coy   3. Aycox   4. Vath
Ryan’s Picks:  1. Krivus   2. Coy   3. Vath   4. Aycox

145:
2013 Final: Jason Nolf, Kittaning dec. Josh Maruca, Franklin Reg., 13-7
2009 Final: Josh Kinding, Blue Mtn., dec. Pete Baldwin, Osceola, 12-1

Seeds:
1. #1-Sr. Michael Kemerer, Franklin Reg., PA -  4x S32 Finalist, 3x State Finalist
2. Sr. Hunter Dean, Strasburg, VA - State Champ
3. #18-Sr. Travis Vasquez, Delbarton, NJ - State 3rd, Beast Champ
4. #5-Jr. Hayden Hidlay, Mifflin County, PA - Fargo Placer, S32 3rd
5. #19-Jr. Kevin Budock, Good Counsel, MD - Ironman 6th, Beast 3rd, S32 6th
6. HM-Jr. Jose Taylor, Arlington, TX - State Champ
7. #7-So. Jarod Verkleeren, Belle Vernon, PA - FILA Champ, Fargo Champ, S32 4th
8. Sr. Dylan Richards, Parkersburg, WV - State Runner-Up

Other Contenders:
Sr. Kyler Hansen, Buchanan, CA - Zinkin Runner-Up
Sr. Chris Wysnofske, Father Ryan, TN - State Champ
Sr. Jake Willochell, Greater Latrobe, PA - KOM Runner-Up
Jr. Nick Monico, Saegertown, PA - Returning 8th, State 6th

Notes: Absolutely a fantastic weight class with one quarter of the nationally ranked wrestlers present and full compliment of narratives. Earlier this year, Kemerer became the 3rd wrestler ever to reach 4 Super 32 finals. Now he'll try to reach his 4th Powerade final. And in March, his 4th State final.
In the semi's he'll get the winner of Hidlay and Budock. Kemerer beat Budock 11-3 at Super 32 this year, but I'll take Hidlay, who's been red hot and very offensive. That would be a repeat of last year's semi at 138 where Kemerer beat Hidlay 7-2.
A year ago, heck, half a year ago, most people had never heard of Verkleeren. He didn't wrestle in Powerade, needed OT to grab a spot at states, and went 0-2 in Hershey.
But all that changed in May when he blitzed the field at FILA's to make the Cadet World Team and then backed it up in July when he did the same thing in Fargo. Another solid showing followed at Super 32 taking Verkleeren from an unknown to an undisputed Top 10 talent in America before his Sophomore season even got underway.
I'll take him over Dean in quarters, and then over Vasquez in semi's.
Keep an eye out for Jose Taylor, the incredibly talented entry from Texas.

Willie’s Picks:  1. Kemerer   2. Verkleeren   3. Hidlay   4. Vasquez
Ryan’s Picks:  1. Kemerer   2. Verkleeren   3. Hidlay   4. Budock

152:
2013 Final: Josh Shields, Franklin Reg. dec. Cole Walter, Mifflinburg, 3-1
2009 Final: Gabe Bird, Osceola dec. Jesse Swink, Connellsville, 4-2 OT

Seeds:
1. #2-Sr. Vincenzo Joseph, Pitt CC - Fargo Runner-Up, State Champ
2. #8-Sr. Josh Maruca, Franklin Reg., Fargo 3rd, State 3rd, S32 5th
3. #12-Jr. Jake Wentzel, South Park, PA - State 3rd, S32 3rd
4. Sr. Conner Francis, Buchanan, CA - State 6th, Zinkin Champ
5. Sr. Dom Vitale, Benton, PA - Returning 5th
6. #16-Sr. Joe Tavoso, Delbarton, NJ - State 4th, Beast 5th, S32 6th
7. So. Nino Bonnacorsi, Bethel Park, PA - Returning 6th
8. Sr. Sam Bullard, Archer, GA - State Runner-Up, KC 5th

Other Contenders:
Jr. Derek Verkleeren, Belle Vernon, PA
Sr. Nick Naughton, Father Ryan, TN - State Runner-Up
So. Ethan Smith, Greater Latrobe, PA - Returning 7th
Jr. Nick Johnson, Parkersburg, WV - State 5th
Sr. Josh Anderson, Pleasant Grove, UT - State 3rd

Notes: Another brutal weight class here and a couple head-to-heads. Wentzel beat both Maruca (3-0) and Tavoso (6-4) at Super 32. Tavoso defaulted to Maruca in the 5th place bout.
Wentzel and Tavoso have a date in the bottom quarter. Maruca should see Bonnacorsi, who I'm REALLY high on. Bonnacorsi might not have the goods to take out Maruca at this time, but it will be close, and he'll be a stud in time.
Although Wentzel beat Maruca in Greensboro, I'll take Maruca this go-round, setting up a really good final. Both guys gave #1-Isaiah White a close call at Ironman.

Willie’s Picks:  1. Joseph   2. Maruca   3. Wentzel   4. Bonnacorsi
Ryan’s Picks:  1. Joseph   2. Maruca   3. Bonnacorsi   4. Tavoso

160:
2013 Final: Dom Scalise, Latrobe dec. Devin Austin, Penn Trafford, 3-0
2009 Final: Cody Wiercioch, Charleroi dec. Pierce Harger, Moeller, 2-1

Seeds:
1. #4-Sr. Josh Shields, Franklin Reg., PA - Fargo 3rd, State Runner-Up, FloNats 3rd
2. #9-Jr. Thomas Bullard, Archer, GA - Super 32 Champ, KC 3rd
3. #12-Sr. Cole Walter, Mifflinburg, PA - Super 32 4th, FloNats 5th, State 3rd
4. HM-DJ Hollingshead, Altoona, PA - Super 32 7th, FloNats 4th, State 4th
5. Sr. Devin Austin, Belle Vernon, PA - Returning Runner-Up, KOM Champ
6. Sr. Trapper Hates, Parkersburg, WV - State Champ
7. Jr. Noah Stewart, Mifflin County, PA- Returning 7th, KOM 3rd
8. Sr. Paul Dunn, Bethel Park, PA - Returning 8th, State 3rd

Other Contenders:
Jr. Abner Romero, Buchanan, CA - State 8th, Zinkin Champ
Sr. Jimmy Miller, Brookville, PA - State 8th
Sr. Marcello Maurice, Father Ryan, TN - State Runner-Up

Notes: Another great weight class. Shields-Walter-Hollingshead were 1-2-3 here last year at 152. Shields majored Hollingshead in semis and beat Walter 3-1 in finals.
Bullard was at 152 for S32 in November.
Dunn hasn't been as consistent as the others, but he did beat Hollingshead in the 3rd place bout in Hershey. If there is someone who can break through the big four here, it's him or Romero, a junior I'm real high on.

Willie’s Picks:  1. Shields   2. Walter   3. Bullard   4. Romero
Ryan’s Picks:  1. Shields   2. Bullard   3. Hollingshead  4. Walter

170:
2013 Final: Chance Marsteller, Kennard Dale tf. Noah Wilps, Chartiers Valley, 2:35
2009 Final: Marshall Peppelman, C. Dauphin dec. Eric Hess, Benton, 4-2

Seeds:
1. #17-Jr. Danny Bullard, Archer, GA - S32 6th, KC Runner-Up
2. #15-Sr. Dontae McGee, Farragut, FL - State Champ
3. HM-Jr. Austin Bell, Belle Vernon, PA - Returning 4th, S32 3rd
4. HM-Jr. Jake Shaffer, Greater Latrobe, PA - State 8th, KOM Champ
5. Jr. Bill Bowlen, Jefferson-Morgan, PA
6. Sr. Michael Millero, Reynolds, PA
7. Jr. Greg Bulsak, South Park, PA - S32 8th
8. Sr. Brendan Burnham, Pine Richland, PA

Other Contenders:
Fr. Anthony Montalvo, Buchanan, CA
So. Frank Guida, Parkland, PA

Notes: Some talent here at a weight that's kind of up for the taking with a bunch of guys that, on paper, are of about similar ability. I'm bullish on McGee, a Brandon (FL) transfer. And I've been waiting for Shaffer to break out. This could be his arena to do so.
That being said, he took loses to two in this group at Super 32. Bell beat Shaffer him 3-2 in quarterfinals and Bulsak beat Shaffer 1-0, in the blood round there.

Willie’s Picks: 1. McGee   2. Bullard   3. Shaffer   4. Bell
Ryan’s Picks:  1. McGee   2.  Shaffer  3. Bullard   4. Bell

182:
2013 Final: Zack Zavatsky, Latrobe dec. Kellan Stout, Mt. Lebanon, 3-0
2009 Final: Kenny Courts, C. Dauphin dec. Matt Cunningham, Shady Side, 4-2

Seeds:
1. #17-Sr. Kellan Stout, Mt. Lebanon, PA - State Runner-Up, Returning Runner-Up
2. Jr. Josh Collelo, Cedar Cliff, PA - Returning 6th, Beast 5th
3. Sr. Donovan McAfee, Good Counsel, MD - Returning 8th
4. Jr. Milton Kobaly, Belle Vernon, PA
5. So. Colin McCracken, Waynesburg, PA
6. Jr. Tommy Provance, Collinsville, PA - Returning 7th
7. Sr. Stefan Gibbs, Huntington, WV - State 4th
8. Sr. Mike Geyer, Pine Richland, PA

Notes: Stout lost in the finals both here and at the state tournament to Zavatsky in two low scoring affairs. Stout isn't dynamic on his feet, but he's tough to score on and should be the favorite here.
Both of Collelo's losses at the Beast were to #19-Mulligan (Bergen Catholic). McCracken was a round from placing there. McAfee didn't appear at Beast.

Willie’s Picks: 1. Stout   2. Collelo   3. McCracken   4. Kobaly
Ryan’s Picks:  1.  Stout   2. Collelo   3. McAfee   4. McCrcken

195:
2013 Final: Chip Ness, Burford dec. Nezar Haddad, Parkland, 8-3
2009 Final: Jaime Callendar, CR North dec Mike Pollard, Corry, 9-4

Seeds:
1. #9-Sr. Dylan Reynolds, Saegertown, PA - Ironman Champ, State 3rd
2. HM-Jr. Kevin Snyder, Good Counsel, MD - Beast 4th, S32 8th, Returning 3rd
3. HM-Jr. Drew Phipps, Norwin, PA - State 4th, S32 4th
4. Jr. Bakhtitar Zaynullaev, Mt. Lebonon, PA - Returning 6th
5. Jr. Trey Hartsock, Mifflin County, PA - Returning 8th, KOM Runner-Up
6. Sr. Max Chefren, Parkersburg, WV - State 3rd
7. Sr. Young Woo An, Buchanan, CA - Zinkin Runner-Up
8. Sr. Garrett Reinwald, Ft. LeBoeuf, PA - KOM 3rd

Other Contenders:
Jr. Connor Buttry, Chestnut Ridge, PA

Notes: Snyder beat Reynolds in the blood round at S32 and Zaynullaevin consi semi's here last year.
Reynolds looked darn good winning Ironman, but he's been up and down in his career.
I'm taking a flyer on Phipps here. Another JR I've been waiting to have a breakout perofmance.

Willie’s Picks:  1. Phipps   2. Reynolds   3. Snyder   4. Zatnullaev
Ryan’s Picks:  1. Reynolds  2. Snyder  3. Phipps  4. Hartsock

220:
2013 Final: Omar Haddad, Parkland dec. Fred Mantsch, Hempfield, 10-6
2009 Final: Nate Gaffney, Connellsville fall. Cody Klempay, Canon-Mac, 3:41

Seeds:
1. Sr. Omar Haddad, Parkland, PA - Returning Champ, State 7th
2. Sr. Fred Mantsch, Hempfield, PA - Returning Runner-Up, State 8th
3. Sr. Robert Enmon, Farrigut, FL - State 3rd
4. Jr. Jacob Robb, Kittanning, PA - Returning 4th, State 5th, KOM Runner-Up
5. Jr. Nick Miller, Good Counsel, MD - Returning 7th
6. Sr. Dylan Davis, Greater Latrobe, Returning 4th
7. #18-So. Quinn Miller, Archer, GA - State Champ, NHSCA Champ
8. Sr. Kai Dill, Buchanan, CA - Zinkin Runner-Up

Other Contenders:
Jr. Bryce Town, Brookville, PA
Jr. Ben Stacy, Father Ryan, TN - State 3rd
Jr. Jack Meyer, Moeller, OH - Ironman 5th
So. Cole Rickert, Reynolds, PA

Notes: Both finalists are back at the same weight, along with the 4th at 220, Davis, who beat Town in the bout to place. Haddad beat Mantsch here and for 7th in Hershey. Robb was 4th at 195.
Enmon is another Brandon transfer.
The one to pay attention to is Quinn Miller, who is up a lot in weight since we last saw him. He didn't compete in Kansas City last week.
Meyer had a sort of 'out-of-nowhere' run at Ironman. Let's see if he keeps it goinghere.

Willie’s Picks:  1. Miller   2. Haddad   3. Mantsch   4. Meyer
Ryan’s Picks:  1. Haddad  2. Mantsch   3. Miller  4. Robb

285:
2013 Final: Thomas Haines, Solanco dec. Scot Augustine, McDowell, 8-1
2009 Final: Ty Demott, Benton dec. Karl Green, Mt. St. Joe’s, 4-2 OT

Seeds:
1. #17-Sr. Alan Beattie, Burrell, PA - State 3rd, Super 32 3rd
2. HM-Sr. Elliott Lee, Archer, GA - State Champ, KC Champ
3. Sr. Zaynul Zaynullaev, Mt. Lebanon, PA - State 8th, Returning 7th
4. Sr. Patrick Mayernick, Belle Vernon, PA - Returning 5th
5. Jr. Gene Ringer, Reynolds, PA - State 8th
6. Jr. Zack Levatino, Buchanan, CA - Zinkin 3rd
7. So. Brendan Furman, Canon-McMillan, PA - Returning 8th
8. Sr. Nick Shamshoum, Arlington, TX

Other Contenders:

Notes: Three of last year's placers are back at the same weight with Mayernick also voming up from 220. Zaynullaev beat Furman for 7th.
Lee just won KC at 220.
Beattie's only loss at S32 was to eventual champ, Andrew Dunn, in OT.

Willie’s Picks:  1. Beattie   2. Zatnullaev   3. Lee   4. Mayernick
Ryan’s Picks:  1. Beattie  2. Lee  3. Mayernick   4. Ringer
