Phase II World Team Trials
The World Team is set.  Both winners needed only 2 matches to dispatch their opponents to punch their tickets on the World Team.  Jimmy Kennedy won 5-2 and 10-0 over Coleman Scott.  Meanwhile Nick Marable won 2-1 and 8-2 over James Green.

Finals
In match 1 Coleman Scott came out like a ball of fire early striking with a pair of pushouts. Kennedy responded late in the first period to make the score 2-1 Scott. After the break Coleman Scott showed off a number of amazing counters but ultimately it was Kennedy delivering on a beautiful double that was the difference in the match which ended with a 5-2 final score.  In match two feet to back takedown while Coleman was on the shot clock for four points. A few more takedowns and turns and it was a 10-0 tech for Jimmy Kennedy.

The action slowed a bit for the 70 finals where we saw Green score the first point when Marable failed to score while on the shot clock. In the second period Green had a beautiful angle on an attack but the hips of Marable were too much and he was able to go behind for the takedown. Green failed to score late and fell 2-1.  In the 2nd match we  once again saw a beautiful shot by Green that Marable capitalized on and got a takedown as well as 2 turns to blow the match wide open. A solid second period for Marable and the match ended 8-2 securing a spot on the World Team for Marable.

61 Challenge
The 61KG and 70KG brackets were action packed from start to finish. At 61KG the two big guns proved why they were the heavy favorites as Coleman Scott dominated Andrew Hochstrasser and Reece Humphrey rolled up two techs over Brad Pataky and Joe Colon.  Colon battled back for a 3rd place finish.

Coleman Scott and Reece Humphrey renewed their rivalry and had an absolute classic. The back and forth battle with Coleman Scott earning the 6-5 victory over the two time World Team member.

70 Challenge
James Green ran through the gauntlet upending Chase Pami, Moza Fay and Kyle Ruschell to make the finals.  The return of Dustin Schlatter had some exciting moments, but ultimately he fell in a tough battle to Moza Fay before defaulting out of the tournament.  Kyle Ruschell made the challenge tournament finals beating Kellen Russell and Frank Molinaro.  Jason Welch was able to wrestle all the way back for third after dropping his first bout to Chase Pami.
