McD Earns Flowrestler of the Week
Some of our best senior level talent took to the mat this week to finalize spots on the University World Teams. The future for USA Freestyle also was in action this week at Junior Duals. True to form we saw great performance after great performance. However, sprinkle in a comeback, some dominance with a little bit of revenge and we’ve got the perfect recipe for Flowrestler of the Week: Matt McDonough.

McDonough, who placed 3rd at the World Team Trials knocked off Nahshon Garrett in two straight matches at ASU. The last time these two met Nahshon sent McD into the losers bracket at NCAA’s. This time around it was all McD winning 16-10 and 15-5.  The first match we saw Nahshon race out to an early lead only to be slowly chipped away by McDonough until he blew it open with some clutch leg laces to seal the win.

Other Flowrestler of the Week Nominees:

Tyrell Fortune-Dominated Austin Marsden in two straight to make the University World Team. Again.

Dustin Kilgore-A little bit of revenge for Dustin as well as we saw him take out Hanke who had last beaten him at the World Team Trials in 2011. It was all Dustin in two matches this time around.

Skyler Petry-The kid had a MONSTER Junior Duals knocking off #1 Daton Fix and #4 Elijah Oliver in the same tournament. The Minnesota native was 10-0 in both styles during the week.

Mitchell McKee-At Junior Duals he had wins over Lamont, Olson, Brock, Akins. 4 ranked wrestlers? Not a bad weekend.

Isaiah White-The Husky went 7-0 beating Zach Hall, Brady Berge and Logan Ryan(twice) to cap off a phenomenal run at Junior Duals.
