Troy Nickerson Named Head Coach At Northern Colorado
First he moved West, from New York to Ames, Iowa.  Troy Nickerson is heading further West still as he's been named the Head Coach At Northern Colorado.

Nickerson spent the last two years as an assistant at Iowa State.  He'll be heading to a program with a less established tradition at Northern Colorado, a team that was unable to compete at NCAA's just two years ago due to low APR.

Nickerson, a 4 time All American and National Champ for Cornell, won't have a completely bare cupboard as he takes over with Mitch Polkowske and Henry Chirino set to return.  Nickerson replaces Ben Cherrington who spent 5 years at the helm for Northern Colorado.

A young, motivated Coach with instant name recognition was just what the doctor ordered for a program looking to find solid footing and NCAA success.  Nickerson brings the necessary technical acumen, work ethic and celebrity within the community to make this a great potential marriage between the two.  Troy will have his work cut out for him, but be sure to keep an eye on the progress made in Northern Colorado.  It could happen sooner than you think.
