Fearless Perkins Named Flowrestler Of The Week
Fearless Perkins Named Flowrestler Of The Week
Every World Team member at the Greco trials left their own mark. Signature moments, big moves and dominance were on full display as our best Greco wrestlers put it on the line for a spot on the World Team. Tough weights were won in emphatic and dramatic fashion, but one man stands apart and makes his mark as the outstanding performer of the week.
RaVaughn Perkins navigated a loaded field at 66KG. Many thought his win over Olympian Ellis Coleman was a fluke. Perkins proved he’s for real and more in winning a spot on the World Team over Bryce Saddoris in two matches. His big moves and electric arsenal embody the spirit of wrestling: It’s not over until it’s over. After an incredible performance, RaVaughn Perkins has been named the Flowrestler of the Week!
Other Flowrestler of the Week Nominees
Spenser Mango-7 Straight World and Olympic teams. Almost unfathomable. Many felt 59 was our deepest and toughest weight. Despite his diminutive stature, Mango stood tall over all the rest.
Andy Bisek-Bisek was on a tear throughout and left no doubt he is ready to challenge the best in the World.
Jordan Holm-Mr. Intensity had me fired up after his post match interview. He’s going to Tashkent and Gold is on his mind. Congrats to Jordan after a dominant performance.
Robby Smith-The Firecracker went off at Daytona Beach. Erickson performed admirably in making the finals and keeping match 1 closer than many expected. Ultimately Smith was too much and put his stamp on the tournament.
Caylor Williams-A bad, bad man. Williams is dangerous from all positions. Great lifts, great throws. Still young and developing. Scary thought, right?
Sam Hazewinkel-Can’t say enough about the respect I have for this guy. In the trials finals of Greco and Freestyle about two weeks apart. Puts it on the line consistently and consistently performs at a high level.
