Clayton Foster: Brute Wrestler of the Week
Christian Pyles
A new flavor this week for Brute WOW. Normally we are pretty college heavy with a sprinkling of high school and international. With the World Cup going on this weekend along with Dapper Dan and NCWA, we’ve got a different talent pool to choose from!
After an absolutely monstrous showing at the World Cup Clayton Foster announced himself at 84 kilograms as not only a contender for the World Team spot, but a contender on the World Stage. Foster knocked off World and Olympic Bronze medalist Ehsan Lashgari of Iran in heroic fashion. The next day, Foster knocked off 2013 World Champion Ibragim Aldatov of the Ukraine! After his World Class weekend, Clayton Foster has been named the Brute Wrestler of the Week.
Other Brute Wrestler of the Week Nominees.
Dalton Macri-Dalton paid no attention to his ranking (8th) taking on #1 Nathan Boston at Dapper Dan. He blanked Boston with a 9-0 Major decision for team PA.
Nick Nevills-The PSU prospect settled the Haines v. Nevills debate (for now) knocking off the 4 time PA state champ at Dapper Dan with a decisive 5-3 victory.
Jason Nolf-Another Nittany Lion recruit looked excellent against elite competition. Nolf methodically picked apart Tyler Berger, who beat Nolf last year at Flonationals.
Ryan Diehl-At NWCA's Diehl showed he will be ready for the next level after his 15-10 win over 2 time NCWA champion Sam Shames.
