It was one heck of a run.

69 in a row.  You actually have to go back to Jordan's Junior year of College to find a match where someone other than JB got his hand raised.

The 3 time World and Olympic champion fell at the Yasar Dogu in Turkey to fellow American Nick Marable.  Marable was an All American at the University of Missouri.

It was a 4-4 final with Marable winning on criteria. Burroughs took a 1-0 lead in the first when Marable got put on the shot clock and was unable to score. Marable scored a takedown to go up 2-1 in the second and then scored again, this time off of an attack by Burroughs to take a 4-1 lead. Jordan Burroughs picked up his pace and got a pushout and takedown in the last 0:20 but the score was 4-4 when time ran out and Marable won by having two 2 point scores.

Burroughs is widely considered the pound for pound best wrestler in the world.  He is coming off of a heroic performance at the World Championships where he dominated a field on an ankle he had broken just a few weeks before the competition.

We've got the match, so click HERE to watch Nick Marable shock the world and beat Jordan Burroughs!

The two are familiar opponents, and Marable has always had formidable defense.  Here's a match these two wrestled at the 2011 US Open.
