Brute Wrestler of the Week: Morgan McIntosh
Brute Wrestler of the Week: Morgan McIntosh
McIntosh Named Brute WOW
Christian Pyles
Every week we will bring you the standout performances from the previous week.
This week delivered a number of great performances. Another week with a #1 wrestler falling, some huge pins and a fair amount of upsets made for a nice list of Brute Wrestler of the Week candidates.
Scott Schiller came into this match as the consensus #1 at 197. He had widened the gap from almost everyone he'd wrestled this year. Morgan McIntosh came to Minnesota and picked Schiller apart. Whether he was out-scrambling the top ranked Gopher, or getting to his low shots and finishing, it was all McIntosh in this one. With his 8-4 win over Schiller, Morgan McIntosh has been named the Brute Wrestler of the Week!
Other Brute Wrestler of the Week Nominees:
Dylan Ness-The Gopher 57 pounder delievered HUGE pin points for the Gophers with his pin over Dylan Alton.
Logan Storley-Storley notched his biggest win of the season and got himself back in the thick of the 174 conversation with his win over Matt Brown of PSU. Logan used a handful of big moves to put Brown away.
Brody Grothus-Brody won a shootout with fellow wild-man Eric Grajales. He won a 17-14 barn burner in TB2. You read that score correctly.
Kendric Maple-Maple left no doubt here and avenged his loss to Josh Kindig from earlier this year with a lopsided win.
David Thorn-Thorn also got some revenge with a 2-0 win over PSU's Jimmy Gulibon.
Joe Spisak-Spisak pulled a big upset this week knocking off #5 Evan Henderson 4-0!
