Really nice dual.  Felt like Michigan had a little more fight and fire for the most part.  So a well deserved win, albeit a close one. We had some great matches thought.   184 was unreal.

125: #11 Tim Lambert-Nebraska v. Connor Youtsey-Michigan
1st Period: Alright we are underway here at 125.  Youtsey goes to his front headlock right away.  That's where he wants to be.  Stalemate right away.  Lambert looking to pull Youtsey into his own frontheadlock.  Youtsey pushes Lambert to edge and they break free.   Nice single from Youtsey and Lambert hits a switch and they're ankle to ankle now and theres the stalemate.

Youtsey back to his fronthead lock but countered well by Lambert.  Youtsey back to it again, snapping and spinning but the 1st ends scoreless.

2nd Period: Lambert picks bottom.  Youtsey locks up a nearside cradle but Lambert is able to get out of bounds and doesn't give up NF.  Youtsey staing aggressive on top and has over 1 minute of RT.  Lambert unwisely creates a scramble and RT climbs on up.  Stalemate with 7 to go and theres the rideout for Youtsey.

3rd Period:  Youtsey takes bottom and gets out immediately.  1:56 RT for Youtsey as he leads 1-0.  Youtsey back to his front headlock.  Lambert unable to get to the legs yet and we have blood on Lambert.  Youtsey continuing to get to his Front headlock and keep Lambert at bay.  Only 49 to go and RT is locked so it's a 2-0 lead for Youtsey.

Fans getting rowdy for a stall call, but I'm not sure why.  Lambert hasn't taken a shot all match.  7 seconds to go and we've got more blood.

2-0 the Final for Youtsey and there's an upset right off the bat!

3-0 Michigan
133: Shawn Nagel-Nebraska v. #17 Rossi Bruno-Michigan
1st Period: And we are off.  Beautiful sweep from Bruno.  Gets the leg up to his feet.  Fighting Nagels hands.  Switches to the double and there's the 2 for Bruno.

Bruno really doing a nice job with the claw ride right now.  Nagel very active underneath but Bruno following the hips very well.  Bruno has the ankle hooked but Nagel squares up for the escape.  2-1 Bruno.

Nagel in deep but Bruno passes the leg well for no score.  2-1 after 1 for Bruno.

2nd Period: Bruno chooses down and gets out quick.  3-1 Bruno.  Battling for ties and Bruno gets to an identical single but Nagel squares up.  Nagel takes an errant shot and it's an easy go behind for Bruno.    Bruno gets warned for not working up on bottom.  Nagel turning and kicking and passes the leg.

5-1 after 1 for Bruno.

3rd Period:
Nagel takes bottom.  He gets away immediately nearly gets the snap and go behind but Bruno somehow squared up.  Gets on the shot again and finishes.  5-4 now 6-4 with the escape.  Bruno has to be close to RT, though they haven't mentioned it.  40 to go.

Takedown at the end for Nagel but RT was locked(they mention that when the match is over).  So it's a 7-6 win for Bruno

6-0 Michigan
141: Colton McCrystal-Nebraska v. Stephen Dutton-Michigan
1st Period: Nice left side Hi C by Dutton and there's the 2 for Dutton.  Dutton looking for a tilt.  1:20 to go.  Dutton drops down to the leg and theres the stalemate as McCrystal had a crossface and was looking to go behind.

Escape for McCrystal makes it 2-1 Dutton.  Another TD and theres the rideout for Dutton.  1:07 RT and 4-1 Dutton after 1.

2nd Period: Dutton takes bottom.  Dutton up and out.  McCrystal in on the leg and has Duttons leg in a nasty spot and gets the TD.  5-3 McCrystal now and hes looking for a turk.  Escape for Dutton makes it 6-3.  RT probabaly not a factor since McCrystal rode for a bit.  Just caught a glimpse 24 seconds of RT for Dutton.

3rd Period: McCrystal takes bottom trailing 6-3.  McCrystal in a scramble now Dutton just hanging on.  Stalemate.  They don't like it in Nebraska, but it was the right call.  Cradle for Dutton, rolls through and gets NF.  Close to the fall.  Official holding 3.

Dutton keeps working but McCrystal fighting like crazy to not go over again.  With the 3 NF and RT point it'll be a 9-3 win for Dutton.

9-0 Michigan
149: #4 Jake Sueflohn-Nebraska v. #5 Eric Grajales-Michigan
1st Period:  Here we go for one of the big ones of the night.  Sueflohn takes charge initiating ties, now Grajales looks for his drag to a shot.  Great counter by Sueflohn and it looked like Sueflohn was all the way behind but Grajales still had the head.  Not sure what would need to change for that to be two.  Going to review now and we are currently scoreless.

Call stands.  No TD.   These announcers are hysterically biased and I love it.  Sueflohn back to his Russian and drives Grajales out of bounds.  1:20 to go and Grajales takes a nice sweep but Sueflohn kicks out.  Grajales attacks the other side and there's the takedown for Grajales.  2-0 Grajales.  1:05 to go.  Eric working really hard for the rideout but Sueflohn gets out with 25 to go.  Quick shot and TD for Sueflohn and theres the rideout.  3-2 Sueflohn after 1!  Great period!

2nd Period: Sueflohn takes bottom.  Eric slow getting back to center.  Grajales riding really solid as he typically does.  1:20 to go and there's a caution on Grajales.  Grajales does a greag job of pinching the ankle but theres the escape for Sueflohn.  4-2 Jake.  There's the warning against Grajales and Sueflohn is on the single now.  Out of bounds with 36 left in the 2nd.  Another attack by Sueflohn.  Quick single, switches to the double for 2 more.  6-2 after 2 for Sueflohn.

3rd Period: Grajales takes bottom and has some work to do.  Escape for Grajales but theres the quick 2 for Sueflohn.  Grajales pretty much broken.  Hence the complete and total irony in Eric Grajales gassing Alton last week.

10-3 win for Sueflohn.  Jake getting the crowd hyped!

9-3 Michigan
157: #1 James Green-Nebraska v.  Jake Salazar
1st Period: James Green on the mat!  I'm excited!  Salazar trying to force those ties and takes a shot.  Green counters well and breaks free.  Green gets in on a high crotch it looks like, nice quick finish and there's the 2-0, now 2-1 lead for Green after the Salazar escape.

Quick double for James at the end makes it 4-1 after 1.
2nd Period: Green takes bottom.  Tripods, hand control and Green is out.

Nice single by Salazar and he'll get the TD.  Escape for Green makes it 6-3 after 2.
3rd Period:  Salazar takes bottom and gets away.  6-4 Green.  Salazar taking ground against Green but just 20 to go.

Holy Cow!  Takedown at the end makes it 6-6 and we are going to OT!!

SV1:
Salazar in on the single on the edge and we go to TB1!

TB1: Green goes bottom and gets away.  Green not looking too fresh.

TB2: Salazar on bottom and Green dropping to the leg and there's the warning against Green.  11 to go.   Green drops to the ankles.  Salazar up to his feet and there's the 7-6 win for Green.

So a backup just pushed the #1 guy to TB2.  Par for the course for this year.

Hold on, we've got a review now.  Michigan asking for a locked hands call.  Looks like no change.  Green survives.

9-6 Michigan
165: #19 Austin Wilson-Nebraska v. #8 Dan Yates-Michigan
1st Period: Alrighty.  Yates gets the TD early and is working hard on top.  If you haven't figured it out yet, Michigan came to freaking wrestle today.

2nd Period: Yates takes bottom and needs a little over a minute to get away.  3-0 Yates now and that's it for period number 2.

3rd Period:
Wilson takes neutral.  Wilson trying to get to his front headlock but Yates fights it off.  45 to go and Wilson needs to get to gettin'.  He only needs a TD to tie it up because he has 1:18 of RT.  Wilson in on a sweep but runs out of time.
3-1 Yates is the final after they tack on the RT point for Wilson.

12-6 Michigan
174: #4 Robert Kokesh-Nebraska v. Collin Zeerip-Michigan
1st Period: Looked like a near arm far leg attempt from Kokesh but he ends up with a sweep.  Picks up the leg, drags Zeerip to the center and theres the 2.  Kokesh too much on top and Zeerip not even close to getting away.  His belly has been touching the mat the whole time.  There's the rideout.

2nd Period: Kokesh takes down. Tripod for Kokesh and there's the escape.  3-0 Kokesh.  Near arm far leg for Kokesh makes it 5-0 Kokesh and there's the rideout.

3rd Period: Zeerip takes bottom.  Kokesh lets him up and it's 5-1 Kokesh and we'll probably see Kokesh pour it on.  Nice low sweep by Kokesh but he rushes this finish a bit but as I say that he scores the 2.  7-1 now 7-2 as Kokesh cuts him loose.  Another quick 2 for Kokesh and he'll go to work on top now with a 10-2 lead with RT locked.

11-2 Kokesh the Final

12-10 Michigan
184: #10 Tim Dudley-Nebraska v. #16 Dominic Abounader-Michigan
1st Period:  Abounader in right away but a sweet roll through counter gets the 2 for Dudley right away.  In a scramble Abounader locks up a nearside cradle but Dudley defends and just gives the escape up to Abounader.  2-1 with 1:30 to go.
Nothing much happens after that and the first ends 2-1

2nd Period: Abounader takes bottom and there's the escape making it 2-2.  Abounader literally falls into the single, Dudley looks to roll through again but Dom finishes to make it 4-2, now 4-3 after the Dudley escape and we've got 1:03 to go.  Abounader again on the single but just runs out of time in the 2nd.  Michigan coaches challenge.  Not sure if his hips were on the mat but Abounader definitely had both legs.

Officials say he did have 2 and it's 6-3 Abounader after 2.

3rd Period: Dudley takes bottom, some big lifts but a nice granby by Dudley and it's 6-4 Abounader.  1:10 to go and Dudley will have to get to the legs as I don't see Abounader beating himself.  Dudleys TD earlier was off of Dom's shot.  Let's see if he can get to the legs.  Dom tying him up.  Slide by attempt but no good for Dudley.  Dudley shoots but no set up.  Nice re-shot by Abounader.  22 to go.  Dudley spins around for the TD and there's the ride out which makes it 6-6 and we are headed for OT again!

SV1: Underway here.  What a ridiculous scramble.  Shot by Abounader, both guys so close to 2 and Dudley gets the TD with 5 to go.  What a nuts scramble.  Leg passes, quick hips.  Great match by both guys.

 8-6 Dudley the final

13-12 Nebraska
197: Caleb Kolb-Nebraska v. Chris Heald-Michigan
1st Period: Heald gets to the high C, switches to a single and has the leg in the air but they go out of bounds.  Kolb runs to a high single but can't finish.  Elbow off double for Heald and it's 2-0 Heald.  Rideout for Heald gives him the 2-0 lead after 1.

2nd Period: Kolb takes bottom.  Quick escape for Kolb.
 Period ends 2-1 Heald.

3rd Period: Heald takes bottom and Kolb lets him up.  3-1 Heald now.
Kolb in deep  gets the finish for the 3-3 score but lets him up right away.  4-3 Heald.  Kolb in deep on a single.  Up to his feet, trips and theres the takedown for Kolb!  5-4 now with 24 to go and Kolb iwll look for the rideout.  Caution on Kolb.  Crab rid now looking for the turn.  Drops down to the leg and Heald is kicking like a mad man.  Stall call on Kolb but just 4 seconds on the clock.  Restart Kolb drops down again and there's the win for Kolb 5-4!  Quite a moment for the Senior on Senior night!

16-12 Nebraska
285: #18 Collin Jensen-Nebraska v. #1 Adam Coon-Michigan
1st Period: Quick single and theres the takedown for Coon. Escape for Jensen makes it 2-1 Coon.  I'll be interested to see how hard Coon pushes for the major and tie. Even then it'd just go to criteria.  Not sure who that would benefit.  Coon with a big double leg and finish to make it 4-1 now 4-2 as Coon lets him up.  Jensen takes a shot, but Coon flattens him out and locks up the cradle for 2 more as time expires.

6-2 after 1.

2nd Period: Coon takes bottom and nearly gets tilted up before earning the escape which makes it 7-2 for Coon.  Coon digging those hooks and moving Jensen wherever he pleases.  There's the warning for stalling on Jensen.  Coon has a way of making it look like you're stalling because he's so strong.  Coon runs to a high crotch with a quick finish.  9-2 now for Coon as time runs out in the 2nd.

3rd Period:  Jensen takes bottom.  Coon lets him up.  9-3 Coon now.  Another high crotch for 2 for Coon.  11-3 now for Coon.  Coon putting a big ride on now.  There's the 12-3 win for Coon with riding time.

So we are knotted at 16-16.  It goes down to criteria.

The officials have the rule book out and are looking it over.  I think they are adding up the individual points scored.

Michigan wins 17-16 for scoring 56 points compared with Nebraska's 49!
