Not if, but when.

When is the next crazy thing going to happen? Who is it going to happen to? I’m resigned to the fact that more #1’s will get picked off more than Jay Cutler. Comment below on the next big happening!

To this weeks matchups.

By the time this goes live, Maple v. Houdashelt and Cox v. Rutt will have gone down!  I like Maple and Cox!  Those are two BIG ones for a Thursday night!

Friday, January 31

American v. Bucknell
At 125 #8 David Terao is going to have to be on his A game to take on the surging Paul Petrov of Bucknell.

Iowa v. Northwestern
We’ll have a Midlands rematch when #8 Jason Tsirtsis and #6 Brody Grothus tangle. Two top 10 guys going here. Grothus won by a point at Midlands

Pierce Harger is looking to show he’s not just a gatekeeper at 165 but an All American contender. The 9th ranked Wildcat will face #5 Nick Moore of Iowa.

#5 Mike Evans is looking to build off of his win over Logan Storley as he takes on #13 Lee Munster.

#16 Nathan Burak of Iowa will face #17 Alex Polizzi. Burak won 5-3 earlier this year.

Here’s the BIG one. Not just because they’re large human beings, but this match features #2 Bobby Telford against #3 Mike McMullan. The two haven’t faced each other since their Freshman year where they split 1-1. Both guys have knocked off Tony Nelson this year.

Michigan v. Ohio State
At 149, despite the big rankings disparity between #5 Eric Grajales and #18 Ian Paddock, the 18th ranked guy is the favorite. They wrestled last year at Big 10’s where Paddock won, and Paddock also won 8-2 at Vegas. However, if we get the right Eric Grajales, he could take care of business here.

True Freshman Dominic Abounader will take on 11th ranked Kenny Courts. Could be an upset special with Courts struggling some of late.

Missouri v. Oklahoma State
At 149 #1 Houdashelt and #7 Kindig square off again. Houdashelt has owned this series.

I doubt we see Rosholt here against Cox at 197, but if we do it’s been all Cox to this point.

Penn State v. Michigan State
Mike McClure will look to get revenge against PSU’s Jon Gingrich! Gingrich was a 5-3 winner last year!

Saturday, February 1

Cornell v. Penn
At 133 we’ll see #1 Nahshon Garrett take on ex Cornell teammate #17 Caleb Richardson.

Nebraska v. Illinois
Jesse Delgado coming off a loss, hmm, not ideal for Tim Lambert, but all the same the 12th ranked Husker will look to knock off the reigning NCAA champ.

#1 James Green will take on #19 Zac Brunson of Illinois.

#13 Jackson Morse of Illinois will face #19 Austin Wilson of Nebraska.

Sunday, February 2

Central Michigan v. ODU
At 125 Brandon Jeske will take on #11 Corey keener.

Yes indeedy! Got a dandy here between #7 Chris Mecate and #9 Zach Horan! Mecate had a weird, weird loss to Flannery last week. Let’s see if he turns it around here.

Indiana v. Minnesota
2 gems here!

At 157 they should just go first to 3 pins! Pinning machine Taylor Walsh, ranked 4th in the country will take on the high flying and unpredictable Dylan Ness.

Watch more video of Taylor Walsh on flowrestling.org

#4 Tony Nelson(looks weird, right!?) will be facing #5 Adam Chalfant!

PSU v. Michigan
#2 Nico Megaludis will look to keep rolling against Michigan’s dangerous Connor Youtsey.

At 149 we could see Grajales take on Andrew Alton or Zach Beitz, either way it should be a good one!

Brian Murphy will look to stay hot after his win over Dylan Ness. He’ll face another Dylan this time around. Alton looked good against Brunson but Murphy is an animal.

#8 Dan Yates will look to slow down David Taylor. Good luck with that.

At heavyweight #1 Adam Coon will be challenged by the savvy Jon Gingrich.

Ohio State v. Purdue
At 133 All American and #13 Cashe Quiroga will take on #7 Johnni DiJulius.
