• #14 Lowell beat #19 Detroit Catholic Central 36-27 last Wednesday in an assembly dual at Lowell High School. The Red Arrows had a huge boost at 189 pounds from sophomore Max Dean’s triumphant fall over state champion Logan Marcicki in 5:01. Lowell won nine of the fourteen bouts in the dual. Lowell associate head coach R.J. Boudro told Flowrestling about the teams performance so far this season, “This is no doubt a special year for the community of Lowell and our wrestling program. We have been working hard from youth to high school for the past couple of decades and this season is a great example of what our hard work has done. There are a lot of little things and moments that have lead to our success this year but I think that our senior leadership has been a big factor and is one that will help us reach our goals. Our guys look forward to being with each other every day and are excited about wrestling. We constantly talk about competing the same no matter who our opponent is and just try to get better each week, so far we have been able to do this and I hope we can continue on this path.”
• In the Hawkeye State of Iowa, #20 Southeast Polk (233.5 points) won the Ed Winger Classic at Urbandale High School with eleven place winners, which included three champions: Nolan Hellickson (120), Ethan Anderson (220), and Jacob Marnin (285). They also had runner-up finishes from Briar Dittmer (145) and Deion Mikesell (195). Their lineup depth has been a staple all season and that catapults the Rams back into the Top 25. Meanwhile #21 Bettendorf (201.5 points) had eight placers including five champions: Jack Wagner (106), Jacob Schwarm (113), Fredy Stroker (132), Logan Ryan (138), and Jacob Woodard (145). Earlier in the month, Bettendorf defeated Southeast Polk in a dual 37-27 winning eight bouts; five of which coming from bonus points.
• Friday evening in The Land of Lincoln, #17 Montini Catholic beat #18 Marist 34-27 in a dual meet between the second and third best teams in the state, respectively. The turning point in the match came at 120 when Montini’s Dylan Duncan pinned Mark Duda in 5:04 after Duda went into the third period with a 4-2 lead. The dual started at 195 and Marist bumped up Alex Benoit to take on Anthony Ferraro, who won 3-2 in the ultimate tiebreaker. In another critical match at 145, Marist’s David Kasper took advantage from a technical violation and a caution point to upset Chris Garcia.
• #1 Blair Academy hosted a “Super Duals” in Blairstown, NJ on Saturday welcoming St. Edward (OH), Tulsa Union (OK), Smyrna (DE), and #25 Don Bosco Prep. Unsurprisingly, Blair Academy went 4-0 on the day and in a match between two top 25 teams, they trounced Don Bosco Prep 47-9 winning eleven bouts that included sophomore 170 Brandon Dallavia’s decision over Luke Farinaro 2-1 in a match of top 20 nationally ranked wrestlers.
• #8 Franklin Regional defeated Latrobe 46-28 in a battle of the two best teams in the western part of the state. Also, Cumberland Valley visited Raymond J. Nunamaker Gymnasium and dumped previously ranked Nazareth 29-26 in a dual where the bout-count was split seven apiece. The Blue Eagles were once again without state-ranked 145 Sage Karam, who was racing in the 24 Rolex at Daytona, as he is hoping to get a full-time deal with an Indy Car team for the upcoming season and compete in the Indianapolis 500 over Memorial Day weekend.

• Saturday live on Flo Pro at 6 PM EST, #1 Blair Academy will host #9 Bergen Catholic. Willie Saylor and all-world commentator Ian McCutheon will call the action! Be sure to check back for a bout-by-bout breakdown of the dual later this week.
• On Friday, Bergen Catholic travels to Don Bosco Prep in another battle of top 25 teams from New Jersey.
• A family affair happens Wednesday when #3 Clovis, coached by Steve Tirapelle, hosts Buchanan, led by Steve’s son Troy, in a backyard brawl.
• In the most anticipated match of the week, #12 Stillwater seeks revenge against #11 Broken Arrow after being outscored by half a point at the Bobby Lyons Invitational two weeks ago when the two square off in a dual at Broken Arrow Tuesday evening.
