Alright people, I'm going to be updating this article AT LEAST after each period. Just keep clicking/refreshing for updates!

125-Jesse Delgado-Illinois v. Nico Megaludis-PSU
1st Period: Nico working from a knee right a way, gets to a front head lock. Stalemate. Nico gets his hands on his head right away again. Back to front headlock, but Nico not close to getting around.
Nico pushing pace and there's the stall warning against Delgado.
1st period ends scoreless.
2nd Period: Nico Chooses down and get's the reversal. Escape for Delgado. Nico in on a single that gets stalemated after Delgado looks to pass the leg. 2-1 Nico in the 2nd. Crowd wants another stall call. Nico in on another shot. Delgado nearly gets the TD, but Nico somehow slips in the near leg for 2. 4-1 after 2. Pretty strange TD call. Jesse almost locked up a cradle after giving up the TD. Illinois coaches challenge and they're looking to get TD overturned.
So they grant an escape to Delgado

3rd Period: Delgado chooses down. Reversal for Jesse. 4-4. Riding tough with legs. Potentially dangerous with 1:04 to go.
Escape Megaludis 5-4 with 40 to go. Jesse in on a sweep extended. Jesse is on the edge, Nico in splits. 12 to go. Nico holds on for the 5-4 win! WIld one!

133-Zane Richards-Illinois v. Jimmy Gulibon-PSU
1st Period: Richards controlling ties and taking ground. Shoves Jimmy off the mat. Jimmy looks for his Hi C. Nothing doing.
Gulibon doing a lot of backing up so far, not much motion from Jimmy. No real committments to a leg attack from either.
1st ends Scoreless.
2nd Period: Richards goes down. JImmy riding tough. Richards escapes. 47 RT for Jimmy. 1-0 Zane.
1-0 after 2.
3rd Period: Jimmy chooses down. Quick escape for Jimmy. 1-1. RT not a factor. 1:28 to go. Jimmy in DEEP on a sweep. Zane somehow squares up. Both guys exchange attacks and nearly get go behinds. Looks like we are headed to Sudden victory.
SV: Jimmys snaps are opening Zane up, but Jimmy pulls Zane into a double and gives up the TD

141-John Fahy-Illinois v. Zain Retherford-PSU
1st Period: Fahy in deep on sweep. Zain throws his head to the outside. Zain locked around the crotch. Stalemate.
Nice sweep from Zain. Takes his time and gets the 2. Legs come in right away. Zain kicks him free. Beautiful re-attack for Zain and he'll get the TD and ride out for a 4-1 lead after 1.
2nd Period: Zain takes bottom and gets the reversal. Gets a tilt with legs in and takes a 9-1 lead. Now working the turk. Period ends 9-1 Zain.
3rd Period: Fahy takes bottom, Zain kicks him free. Heavy hands opens up the single. Quick finish makes it 11-2. Another turn with legs in makes it 14-2. RT locked up. Escape for Fahy and it's a 15-3 Major for Zain.

149-Caleb Ervin-Illinois v. Zach Beitz-PSU
1st Period: Hand fighting so far. Ervin looks for a sweep. No go. Beautiful ankle attack from Beitz. Nice counters from Ervin. Both guys passing legs. Beitz gets the 2.
Escape for Ervin makes it 2-1 Beitz and that's how the period will end. Ervin got on another ankle attack and nearly scored again late in the period.
2nd Period: Ervin takes bottom. Beitz with a nice cross face/bundle looking for a cross face cradle. Ervin flat on the mat. Beitz too far out to the side and Ervin escapes. 2-2.
Beitz again on an ankle pick late but runs out of time.
3rd Period: 1:13 RT for Beitz into the 3rd. Beitz takes bottom and Ervin erases the RT. Still riding. 1:41 to go. 2-2. Ervin shamelessly riding the ankle and gets a stall warning with 40 to go. Ride out would take it to Sudden victory. Switch from Beitz and gets the reversal. 4-2 Beitz. That's your final.

157-Zac Brunson-Illinois v. Dylan Alton-PSU
1st Period: So we'll get one Alton at least this dual. Pretty tenative so far. Sweep attempt from Alton. Gets a little chippy at the edge. Brunson is a tall drink of water compared to Dylan. Brunson likes to get to ankles, as an aside.
Bad shot by Brunson, reshot by Alton, gets the two and takes a 2-0 lead into the 2nd.
2nd Period: Brunson goes down and gets quick escape. 2-1 Alton.
Deep shot by Alton, switches to a double, quick finish for the 2 and a quick escape for Brunson. 4-2 Alton. That's how the 2nd will end
3rd Period: Dylan goes down. Quick escape. 5-2 Alton.
Brunson takes a shot but goes completely flat. Manages to drive Alton out of bounds. 40 to go. They trade shots but no takedowns. Alton wins 5-2.
13-3 PSU
165-Jackson Morse-Illinois v. David Taylor-PSU
1st Period: Morse with a shot right away, DT nearly gets the go behind. Double to a single from Morse. Stalemate. Snaps from DT pulls Morse into a high crotch. Morse just hangs on the leg for another stalemate. 1:30 to go.
DT takes a single, switches to double, quick finish. Working on top with a leg in. Bar on left side, claw on right. Close to the tilt with 30 to go but no go for DT. DT goes reinforced bar and gets the 5 count. 5-0 lead for DT after 1.
2nd Period: Quick escape and TD for Morse. Morse caught DT just kinda sitting there and plowed into him. 5-3 DT. Double legs in for Morse and DT is broken down flat.
Stalemate and DT is a bit slow getting back to center. Seemed in a haze. Morse riding real tough again with a leg in. DT really not moving at all. 5-3 DT after 2.
3rd Period: DT goes bottom, catches the leg coming in and gets the reversal. 7-3 DT. Wow. Like 15 seconds to go, a pair of 2 counts gets the major decision for Taylor 11-3. Unreal.

174-Tony Dallago-Illinois v. Matt Brown-PSU
1st Period: Brown gets in deep on a double, works a bit too hard to get the fall instead of ensuring the 2 and winds up with a stalemate. Scoreless with 40 to go. Quick single for Brown. Dallago in splits, Brown gets height and gets 2 with 22 to go .
An escape for Dallago. Another double, and Brown catches Dallago on his back for 3 NF. 7-1 Brown.
2nd Period: Brown Chooses bottom. Locked hands on Dallago. 8-1 Brown. Brown escapes. Up 9-1 with 50 to go. Brown nearly gets the go behind but runs out of time. Looked like he got it to me. Coach Sanderson challenging. They won't look at it though.
3rd Period: Dallago chooses bottom and earns the escape. Heavy hands from Brown gets to the leg and finishes. Brown kicks him free, or at least pretends to and drops to a cradle. Has it locked up. Tough spop to turn from. 11-2 Brown still and he's riding tough. 12-2 Major the final.

184-Nikko Reyes-Illinois v. Ed Ruth-PSU
1st Period: Quick Hi crotch for ruth and theres the 2. Yikes that was fast. Working the bar on the right side and wrist left. Can't say I've seen Ed look to use bars all that often. Ed gives up the escape with 11 seconds to go, Ruth realizes this and gets the quick single for 2 more. Wow.
2nd Period: Reyes goes bottom and gets the escape. 4-2 but Ruth has lots of RT. Neither guy terribly active currently. Ed took him down so easily in both attempts, but he didn't really fight for more points there.
3rd Period: Ed goes bottom. Gets out and Reyes takes a shot nice go behind from Ruth that makes it 8-2 with RT. Stall point for Ed and he's up 9-2. Reyes just trying to avoid turn. Gets escape now. TD and Turn ensures the Major Decision. Missed the Final. 12-3 or so?

197-Jeffrey Koepke-Illinois v. Morgan McIntosh-PSU
Gonzalez out with a rib injury.
1st Period: Morgan in on a single but out of bounds. Back in on a single and gets the finish. Quick escape for Koepke. Stall warning on Koepke. 2-1 with 40 to go and that's how the 1st will end.
2nd Period: McIntosh chooses bottom and escapes immediately. 3-1 McIntosh. Stall point given. 4-1 now. And there's another stall call. 5-1. Shot by Koepke and go behind for McIntosh. 7-2 Morgan.
3rd Period: Koepke chooses bottom and escapes. 7-3 Morgan. Morgan taking ground again, forcing Koepke into bad shots. Koepke has actually been working hard, he's a back up 184 pounder though and he's getting horsed around. 30 to go. Another go behind for McIntosh. 9-3 Morgan. 10-3 the final with RT.

285-Chris Lopez-Illinois v. Jon Gingrich-PSU
1st Period: Gingrich Tebow's pre-match and we are underway!
1:15 to go. Not a whole lot going on. Nice shot from Gingrich, quick finish and it's a 2-0 lead for Jon. Gingrich gets the rideout. 2-0 lead after 1.
2nd Period: Lopez chooses bottom, Gingrich riding well. Has Lopez flat. Gingrich gets the rideout.
3rd Period: Gingrich goes bottom. Quick escape for Gingrich makes it 3-0 Gingrich. He's got tons of riding time. Probably close to locked. There's another TD for Gingrich off a single. 37 to go it's a 5-0 lead. Gingrich cuts him loose. 6-1 with 20 to go. 6-1 the final for Gingrich.
