Flowrestling’s newest creation is an unprecedented event transcending the sport of wrestling and fusing its burgeoning popularity with MMA. The landmark event ‘Who’s #1,’ detonates at 4pm on November 2nd at Lehigh University’s vaunted Grace Hall, often dubbed the ‘Snake Pit’.

The Who’s #1 dual will feature wrestlers at the high school level, followed by a cross-sport finale pitting wrestler Jordan Oliver against mixed martial arts star, Bubba Jenkins.

Wrestling is the breeding stock of MMA. Look no further than the UFC where six of the eight title holders are former wrestlers while dozens more populate the rankings. The future contenders in MMA are today’s wrestling stars, making for an organic mingling of two sports.

Team Black vs. Team Green
Wrestlers on each side of the dual will be captained by Team Leaders Oliver (for Team Green) and Jenkins (for Team Black). And we’re happy to announce our first match-up:

The nation is abuzz with the debate at 182lbs where New Jersey’s Johnny Sebastian (Bergen Catholic) is being challenged by a Missouri fan base that says Michael Pixley (Blue Springs) is the man.

Sebastian will be the first member of Oliver’s Team Green, while Pixley will go to war for Bubba.

That will be just one of several heated bouts in a dual of vehemently argued ranking debates.

The Finale - JO vs. Bubba
Oliver is one of America’s favorite, and most talented wrestlers after a college career that saw him earn four All American honors while reaching three finals and claiming two titles. One of America’s premier young freestyle threats, Oliver has reached the finals of both the World Team Trials and the U.S. Open just a couple of months removed from the NCAA tournament.

Oliver will be close to home at Lehigh as the Snake Pit is just a few miles from his hometown, Easton, from which he made four state finals and won three state titles before earning a Fargo title and JR World Bronze.

Charismatic and outspoken, Bubba Jenkins is a polarizing figure. One of the country’s most prized recruits when he headed to Penn State, Jenkins reached two NCAA finals. After transferring to Arizona State, Bubba shocked the world when he pinned America’s wrestling darling, David Taylor, for the 2011 title.

Jenkins also had success in freestyle, winning a JR World Championship and a U.S. University title. He’s currently a rising star in Bellator with a 4-0 mark.

The Oliver-Jenkins finale will punctuate an amazing dual that will be streamed live on Flo Pro.

Watch for future announcements on more amazing match-ups for this event and see who will be on Oliver’s Team Green, and Jenkins’ Team Black!
