Some of the top-ranked individuals collided in this morning’s semifinal session at the Southern Scuffle. Tonight will be a clash of titans!

Highlights from the semi’s included dominating performances from Jordan Oliver who tech-falled Chris Villalonga, and David Taylor, who blanked Tyler Caldwell, 10-0.

Air Force’s Cole Von Ohlen took it to returning NCAA finalist Dylan Ness, 10-5. And NCAA Champ, Steve Bosak used riding time to edge the ever-tough Kevin Steinhaus, 2-0.

But it wasn’t all bad news for the Gophers, who saw Logan Storely pin Penn State’s Matt Brown, in a much-anticipated bout between the two contending teams. Later, Minnesota’s reigning National Champ, Tony Nelson, won a fun bout with redshirting All American, Nick Gwiazdowski, 4-1.

In the team race, Penn State still leads with 150.5pts. Oklahoma St. (130pts) has a narrow lead on Minnesota (127.5) for 2nd. Cornell is 4th with 117pts.

Those top four teams combined to put 14 of 20 finalists in tonight’s main event.

Here is the Finals slate, set for 6PM ET. Tech Wave members can watch for free, or if you’re interested in signing up, click here. It’s gonna be a great show.
