Two wrestlers with resumes almost too long to list both committed to DI wrestling programs on Thursday night. And both will go to Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Association members.
Eric Morris of Wyoming Seminary, Pa, gave his verbal to Coach Jay Weiss and the Harvard Crimson. Morris is projected as the a 184lber in college and is recognized as the #13 recruit in the Class of '13. He's won titles at National Preps, Fargo, and Beast of the East.
Morris joins #72-Tyler Grimaldi and Colton Peppelman as Crimson recruits. He chose Harvard over Penn.
Anthony Ashnault has had among the best and most-followed careers in the history of New Jersey wrestling. With 3 state titles and not a single in-season loss, "Ash" is on the verge of making history.
Ranked as the #12 recruit in the country, Ashnault has chosen his home-state Scarlet Knights over, well, virtually everyone in the country, who was after him. Projected as a middle weight, Ashnault has also won two Super 32 titles.
Congratulations to both young men, who are exception student athletes, and to Harvard and Rutgers.
