Isaiah Martinez wins the Super 32 http://www.calgrappler.com/2012/10/22/isaiah-martinez-wins-the-super-32/
CA placed 8/13 (from a brief skim over results) that means they did well, extremely well. not no damn 7 champs but compared to numbers they took 2nd to PA here
No excuses -- we did not get it done as far as where I had the bar set -- I know our kids were disappointed and they and their coaches will make adjustments. Super 32 is a great event and one that will be back to -- wanna thank Dave for being a gracious host and taking the time to spend time with our group -- Will be at flo with 70-100 of our best and give it another twirl. I dont hide behind an anonymous screen name and I have no issue eating a little humble pie -- It was PA's day -- if you want to be the best you have to set the bar high and thats what were doing.
they also had to fly across the country to FloNationals, which they crushed.im not trying to say s32 results makes for any kind of assessment of Cali. Cali is awesome.just saying, i don't think the flight has anything to do with it.
btw, everyone is saying pa is doing so good because they brought the most kids:1) that is false2) that's the whole point!!! pa is known for its insane depth!!!! this just proves our depthdepth is what makes a state good!!! alaska could have one super stude at every weight, but everyone else would be a scrub. would they be a good state then? no. you measure a state by depth and quality, each of which pa absolutely dominates in!
I wouldn't know if the refs were robbing anyone or not because I can't watch any of the coverage videos. Apparentlly you have to have Floinsider or tech wave now to watch coverage videos. C-ya Flo. I can look at brackets on any site.
Cali is doing fine if you consider # of kids from each state. Thanks for making the trip.
Cali has 6 left in 1/4s-Pico,Gasca,Lopez,Tucker,Imar,Subjeck....hard to get on Ernie,Cali kids are traveling all over the country and making most of these big time tourny's much better...looking 4ward to welcoming a bunch of Cali kids to Jersey in October '13
Ernie, where you at? Gonna be tough to get your 7 champs from Cali considering you only have 5 left in the quarters! PA has 31 still after the belt. At least one PA kid in every bracket. OH and NJ still have a lot going too. Guess the next time you claim dominance over the northeast you should try bringing a bigger bus.
