Wrong move Flo..why would I sign up for Technique Wave? A majority of your viewers coming to the site right now are fans yet you're forcing them to sign up for a product that is irrelevant to fans. If you charged a one time fee of $10 I would gladly pay you. This could have been free marketing for you guys...smh.

You know what the best thing about businesses that decide that they want to make people pay to watch things is? that there are people right behind them with the abilities to take those videos and make them free to the public. In other words you suck flowrestling. Oh how you have changed since i first started watching you, no ads, no memberships, no paying to watch tournaments. The good ol' days :'(. Just a website full of people that loved wrestling, filming wrestling, for people, like me, who also love wrestling.

Not for nothing but I don't have to pay anything to watch Alabama LSU tonight. I've been looking everywhere on FCS to see when it's going to air so I can watch it on TV and not on a computer. Charging for Tech Wave, sure I get it, to get tickets to a live event absolutely charge, but when have you ever paid for a college event on TV or better yet, a computer. Then answer is never. I can watch March Madness, Bowl Games, the College World Series on TV yet I can't watch a wrestling All-Star match on the computer. Doesn't make sense.

Flow is wanting to grow their bank account, not the sport.

People! Seriously! I would of done anything for Tech videos back when I was in high school (90's). It's a super tool for coaches to teach their kids.

And for kids that can't cover the 20 bucks... get 4 or 5 teammates together and split the price. That's $4-5 each!

Flo... maybe you should have sold the show for $30 and offered it for free with a month of Tech Wave... then everyone would think they got a deal.

As I understand the Tech Wave pricing, it is possible to sign up for a single month for $20 and this allows viewing of tonight's event. So, in essence the PPV pricing is $20.

At most, tonight's event will deliver 70 minutes of entertainment (10 matches x 7 minutes) which is roughly $17 per hour. Many viewers, no doubt, aren't interested in all the matches. So, if your interest is in the "title" bout (Dake v. Taylor) and maybe two other matches, then you'll be paying about $60/hour or $1/minute (roughly 20 minutes of wrestling for $20). So, depending on your personal preferences, the PPV equivalent rate for the All-Star Classic is $17-$60 per hour. I think that's the objective value proposition facing most viewers. Just for comparison, $17/hour is probably close to the rate one would pay retail for a GA seat at a mid-level D1 college football game. At $60/hour, it is comparable in price to a great seat at the best shows on Broadway.
Each prospective customer will choose based on this data, explicitly or not, along with other factors such as alternative uses for the money, competing entertainment options in the same time slot, emotion, etc. I hope Flow makes a lot of money because businesses that don't make money aren't businesses for long and I know a lot of people like Flow. On the other hand, from the posts in this column, it might be the case that Flo has overestimated the demand at $20. The sample size here is small, so difficult to say.
I think the worst one might say about Flow is that they've made a poor decision in pricing and marketing this event. But, without knowing Flow's goals and results, it is impossible to tell.
For my part, the price is too high given the broadcast quality, alternative entertainment options and the ability to watch the event on broadcast TV at a later date. I don't have any emotion or personal attacks to offer -- it's just a grown up decision.

definitely not true, obviously enough care about it or they wouldnt offer it to tech wave users. tech wave is the best place to find high level technique by people that know what they are doing unlike the majority on youtube. pay for a month or dont. its not just the match you would see. take advantage of the technique for a month and actually learn something to get better

FLO! You are blowing it! There is a lot of interest. You can make money and create some good will. Please offer a pay per view price on the event. Very few people care about your technique videos.

Unbelievable. First they say "You can subscribe for 7 day free trial and watch the match and the unsubscribe". I short time their new genius Willie Saylor pulls his calculator out to run the numbers and concludes that they will not make extra buck on this and comes up with a revolutionary policy for the company which is pretty much their new modo: "You either pay or don't. You either watch or don't".
I freakin loving it. And I'm not saying yo shouldn't charge for anything but 20 bucks for a single coverage? Just unbelievable!

Where did they confirm the 7 day trial is not valid??!!!
