Ohio State landed one of the top 125lb prospects in the country on Thursday when Nathan Tomasello verbally committed to them.

The #1 ranked 120lber in the country and is featured as the #22 overall prospect on Flo's Senior Big Board, Tomasello has reached six finals between his appearances at Fargo, Ironman, and Super32. From Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy, he'll be seeking his 4th state title this season.

Tomasello joins the #1 overall prospect in this year's Senior Class, Bo Jordan (165) of St. Paris - Graham, OH, as Buckeye commits for 2013.

Willie - Were these matches Folk or Free? And why aren't they on Flo!! I'd love to see them if anyone has the video.

Love the Tomasello pick up, I love the kids motor & determination! Honestly, his style seems like a clone of Colt Sponsellor, except at a lower weight. Wrist control, elbow pass, drags, motor that doesn't stop, great hand fighter.

Roberts beat him two or three times last year, and rather convincingly.

Nathan is such a dedicated kid. In high school, he trains like a D1 starter and holds himself to very high standards for every minute he is on the mat. So glad he picked Ohio State and so happy Coach Ryan sees Tomasello as his kind of college student athlete. This team is gonna make it happen.

I love how Ryan is keeping the Ohio boys in Ohio. I wish more states were this way. Man if Washington or Montana alone had a DI team after five years they would be nails!

You guys are funny... If you want to compete year in and year out with Iowa & Okie St. (and now PSU) you MUST have this kind of depth. In Iowa's hey day (and even now) many of their backups could start (and probably AA) for many teams. It will only make this team stronger to have this kind of depth.

Secondly, for guys like Jordan, Tomasello, Roberts, Steiber's, etc. the goals is World & Olympic titles. To accomplish this, you don't stray away from competition, even if its competing for a starting spot. These guys see this as a GREAT training opportunity and I doubt they even consider the fact that they might lose a starting spot. Great athletes have the long term goal in their sights.

125-133s - DiJulius, Roberts, Tomassello, Logan...
141-149s - Hunter, Paddock, Tessari, ...
157-165s - Demas, Garcia, Martin, Jordan (could project to 174)...
174-184s - Heflin, Courts, Jordan (if at 174)...
197-285s - Camplolattano, Capone, Tavenello,...
I'm leaving out any other big recruits Ryan lands (which he will) and a lot of other tough guys currently on the roster. Just between these 16 guys there is 50 State Titles!

Ya your right Roberts is only a 3x state champ, 6x fargo national champ and took 3rd at worlds.

Not sure how Jordan fits in this line-up, I can't see him beating Martin or Courts, unless the plan is to stay at 165 during his tenure at tOSU. . . Tomasello is a beast. . . I see him as tOSU's answer to Gulibon. . . no doubt that will be a tall order, but Tomasello won't back-down. . .
