For the Cornell Big Red, their recruiting prowess has risen in sync with their steady progress to the top echelon of Division I wrestling. Recent years have seen them post recruiting hauls ranked 3rd, 8th, 4th, and 8th in the last four cycles.
But while there has been plenty of chatter on the Big Red recruiting front, Cornell hadn't yet received a single verbal for the class of 2013.
That changed today.
Bald Eagle Area product, Jake Taylor, announced his decision to continue his career in Ithaca. A 184lb prospect, Taylor is ranked 4th at 182 and #56 on the Senior Big Board.
With multiple major tournament placings such as Flonationals Champion, Super32 4th, and PA State 3rd, Taylor had many options. He narrowed his list to Harvard, Lehigh, Virginia, Virginia Tech, West Virginia, and Cornell.
His father, Doug, was an All American at West Virginia, placing 5th at 158lbs in 1993.
