The Missouri wrestling team, displaced from a conference and qualifying tournament since the university announced it was bolting from the Big XII and heading to the SEC, will announce tomorrow where it will head.
Since the time of their Big XII departure, early speculation was the the Tigers would migrate to the Western Regional with the likes of Wyoming, Northern Iowa, and Air Force.
However, in recent weeks, there's been much chatter about the prospects of Missouri joining the MAC, whose team champ last year was Central Michigan.
A year ago, Missouri shocked everyone, slipping the carpet out from under Big XII favorite, Oklahoma State. Missouri won the conference tournament, and in the process, qualified all ten of its individuals to the national tournament.
The announcement will take place in Missouri's wrestling office at their Columbia campus at 9 ET. Coach Smith is expected to make a statement by 10 AM, after a pivotal decision that will shake up conference alignment.
