106 and 113 see massive emigration, which means 120 and 126 are effected significantly.

Other than weight movement, changes are minimal. But that will change greatly with Fila Cadets coming at you this weekend, followed by Cadet and JR Duals. Pay attention all summer long as we’ll update the rankings with each new event.

i agree with michael tuma on this one, how is ashnault ranked in the pound for pound, but tuma isnt and he is ranked ahead of ashnault in the 138 class, just dosent make sence to me. I would love to see a pico vs tuma match, but i still think pico would win, he got alot better after that match against heil.

never commented in my life, but, going to for once..tuma is a beast. the FACTS are he has wrestled Ash 2X and the results were the same (see fargo last year)..in fact Tuma is 22-2 against ranked kids by flo as of right now..he beat Heil just like the ASH matches..beat, Fox Baldwin, Pagdilao, Lapagllia, Geo Martinez (3X), Dippery, Berger (3-1 in matches), Manville, Bengston (2X) Duggan, Spencer (3x), Mellen (2-1) etc...plus should probably throw in pin of Klee, and 3 wins vs chavez etc..of kids who are going to be ranked ..finally, for those who think he "can't" do it if Folkstyle, just remember, he has now won 2 reno TOC (this yr. OW), beat berger, chavez 7-1 (the same chavez who beat Villareal at Reno) (I could keep going on).....He also pinned Randy Cruz at Vegas in a match tuma had outscored Cruz 12-0 prior to the pin..Note, I am not counting kids already in college (except for cruz above) like Hathaway, Zane Richards, Brancale, Keener etc. that Tuma has beaten.....I do not want to dog anyone, but, I truly believe you guy's need to take another look at Tuma before you cut him down..he is a top 10 P4p and considering one of Pico's big matches was a LOSS to Heil, I'd probably have Tuma (just see tuma vs Heil video, tuma handled heil easly) a slot ahead of Pico until they meet up and decide it on the mat, where it belongs, and not on wrestling forums. ...by the way, whitford ranked too low in my opinion

Yeah, he probably should. It'll be interesting to see how rankings play out after the seniors move on.
Marstellar, Pico, Hall, Brill, (Sebastian), etc. will all have good cases next season for who's the top dog.
There's a NY junior named Corey Rasheed who belongs up there as well but I understand that it's hard for NY guys to get properly ranked.

Impressive that Whitford could cut 13% of his body weight and wrestle like that. I can't imagine this kid was any more than 7 or 8 percent body fat @ 152 so he had to give up something like 9 or 10lbs of muscle to make that weight. What a machine!

I am not going to get on Willie's case, because I do understand why he ranked Whitford so low. But he now knows that Whitford's two losses that put him behind everyone was at 152, a weight class 20 lbs above what he wrestled this weekend.

Whitford in my opnion, is the best high school wrestler in the country. He won the toughest bracket at Filas and he did so in impressive fashion. I assume he will wrestle 141 in college and I would HOPE that they redshirt him. Michigan needs to take their lumps next year and redshirt last year's freshman class and this year's freshman class. Michigan has a problem, but a good one to have with all that talent.

I see Whitford as #2 p4p right now. Maybe even #1.

I'm a big fan of Joey Dance but Whitford is a better wrestler all day long.

So Flow, now that you see that Whitford was wrestling around 15lb ABOVE his normal weight in high school so that a stud team mate could wrestle in stead of sit the bench which because of Bens sacrifice it made St. Johns so much better team. Whitford is Def. a top 3 P4P. And Coon again was a junior champion in Greco as well as Whitford at Freestyle.

Also - I think Cody Weircioch is going to be an outstanding college wrestler @ Pitt. I just have that feeling.

So maybe Marstellar follows him and they wrestle back to back @ 74 and 84.

I recognize it's none of my business but I wonder what sort grades Chance Marstellar has? If he's a bright student he could pull a surprise and wind up at really good academic school like Bucknell or Lehigh and still stay "home". Why not? lol

He could also middle it and head towards a better state school like Michigan.

I have Ohio State a close second. Amazing young wrestlers at OS, and two of the top recruits coming in this next year. Next year for sure Penn state. Don't forget PS has the best 2 light weight recruits the last two years and the best back up stepping back in at 197LB. And a HWT that will be on the brink of being a all American next year. Ohio state has their best chance to win it all in two years and Michigan will pull it off the 3rd and 4th year from now. It will be exciting and close because OS and PS are full of sophs. , and the best of there line ups graduate in two years. That's when Michigan steps in because they will be primed and seasoned. I hope they red shirt Messa so he can wrestle with his Brother for one year. Also Whitford needs to red shirt next year as well as Abounader and Murphy. Coon needs to start for sure because Michigan will have no productive HWT. Zach Hall is an amazing recruit for the next class and that is just the first verbal so far. The year after that Logan Messa will be coming in. If Chance comes to Michigan there is no stopping Michigan unless two or three studs get hurt. Michigan has a new wrestling facility. Great wrestling partners at the next level with the coaches that people want to wrestle for. I heard Howe might be going to Michigan next year. His old coaches are there. Only time will tell. But for 6 years I have predicted the national champs. Two years in advance for each. John Bolenbaugh

Are you guys forgetting about Ohio State? They have some great talent coming in and a lot of their studs were sopres or younger. That should be a great battle between them and Michigan over the next coming years!

If Chance is smart he will go to the soon to be National champs!!! MICHIGAN. Chance needs to go to the future 3 peat team. 2015-2016 and 2016-2017 and 2017-2018 Michigan wins it all.

My predictions are coming true. Zach Hall just went to MICHIGAN. GO BLUE!!! Michigan will be national champs 3 years from now. That is a fact. Penn State National champs next year for the 4 peat.

I don't know for sure, but I was pretty sure he was kind of hooked with Cael and PSU. Not sure, but it would be dumb for Cael to let a great PA kid run away.

I can't wait to see P4P in 2 weeks, when all the seniors are removed, will make space for 14 new kids

in two weeks, SR's will be removed. 8th gr will be listed as FR, 11th gr as SR's, etc

Curious about what you will do with Snyder....will you remove him from the HS rankings since he'll be spending his SR season @ the OTC?

Hey, Willie, just a question here.
When will the 8th graders start being ranked? Not saying that any of them are going to be, but they've obviously earned it, with Lee beating several of the 106 pounders at Flo, etc.

I was wondering, will it be at the end of the school year, when they are officially 'high schoolers', or what?

I am not sure why Whitford is #9 P4P and the #1 152 lb P4P guy but is #2 at 145 in the weight class. If Whitford is the best 152 lber then he should also be the number one in that class as well.

when i started the p4p, i intended it to be a quick, rather unofficial glimpse of what my opinion was. i've kinda moved to a more process driven system like the regular rankings.

yeah, hall should probably be out.
as far as wrestling qualities and styles, i write about each kid that way in their recruiting class ranking, which is part of Floinsider.

i don't understand your explanation of why kids are moved up or moved around on P4P. Before you said it was you opinion of their wrestling abilities and not on head to head competition. However now you are moving kids around because of losses and such. If it is about who beat who or kids losing at state or DD then it should reflect the wt class rankings.
IMO- which might not jmean much, I would like you to tell us what qualities these guys have that sets them apart from the rest.. For example: explosive level changes, stays in great position and doesn't get scored on, great on top or gets off bottom.
You probably know much more about technique than I do, so if the P4P is in your opinion the best HS wrestlers. I would like to know what makes them better if they are getting beat by guys that are not on the list- For example, why is Hall on the list when Nickle has beat him in two different styles. It would seem that Nickle would be better than Hall. Please explain.
