Considerable movement here. Oklahoma boys Marek and White both move up. As does Iowan Adam Drain.
Preisch won PA FS States at this weight. Also getting in is Prep 3rd placer Scalise, and NYS Champ Radoncic.

It is a mistake not to have Caleb Copeland from Bennett Colorado in your top 20 high school 170 lbs. He is a two time state champion with only 2 losses in the past 3 years. Many feel he is better than his brother Elliot who also was a 2X Colorado state champion prior to Caleb. Elliot placed 3rd his true freshman year in D2 and is ranked #1 @ 174 this year.
I just saw a loss to Loiseau so far on highschoolscorebook.com and jujst know he did well in the past at SE Regionals etc. Okay, thanks.
Looks like Tristan Sponseller from Bermudian Springs in PA will be joining the party at 172. Will he crack the top 20?
Wes everybody knows your kid does not run from competition! He is a great kid and he is heading off to College to wrestle at the next level. Do not get caught up in the posts by others and enjoy his final HS year.George Berridge
call whatever you want. they've had close matches and one kid beat the other last week.they'll see each other again. the rankings are updated every week. so it will be earned and proven in the future.
Griego just won on Saturday. i like Santos, but it's not as if he has a resume long enough to take a loss and not drop for it.sure, he beat Rogers. But Santos has lost since then. so he has to drop.
Parker and his coaches had already decided he was going 195 for this tournament and for now on so that the previous 195 pounder could drop to 182 so the team was stronger. parker also bumbed up for better competition. parker or his coaches didnt know ness was going to be at the tournament till 2 days before it when i pointed it out, we looked on scorebook and saw he wrestles 195 so we thought ness was going 195. He recently just got back from mono where he lost a lot of weight and has now just 180lbs on his climb back up to being back to normal. Anybody from NC knows that parker always bumbs to competition sometimes 2 weights heavier never away from it. i think for now on when someone post on flo calling out or insulting a specific person they should be required to put their name to the post not hide behind a computer if someone is going to be at a tournament that parker is at and wants to wrestle him please post it or contact him on facebook and we will make sure the match happens.
im pretty sure Chance will be 160 for Powerade.oh how the Ohio fans will rip me when Chance is #1 over Bo, lol
Ok, Mr. Saylor. I guess you are allowed to slip up once in a while...a little sleep dep before, during and afterS-32 perhaps?
Yes, my bad. I must have been looking at them before my morning cup of coffee. I blew it...sorry bout that.
forgot to mention fargo fila toughest tournments in hs. Super32 170 will be tough also, good luck. ( sometimes you need a little in a tough bracket.)
false. I rember they wrestle one match each and parker gave kee 2 points, let the men settle it on the mat. fargo fila. parker won several matchs over rank wrestlers did not place on points, also has 4 wins over top 5 rank wrestlers in 170 182 195 Let them settle it on the mat again. 170 is going to be tough.
Quess I don't get it, he has beat Chandler Rodger, Robert Stevenson numerous times and yet not ranked in the top 170 lbers do your homework your missing out on a good kid that deserves to be there! Andrew Garcia
Torres from Altus, OK will be at 152 or 160, no way he goes 170. He only wrestled 152 this summer at Fargo. Just missed AA. (He is a past Cadet FS Champ) Why did Lance Dixon drop from 8th to 20th? He probably will not be at 170 anyway, at least 182, maybe 195
Garcia will be ranked in the update, most likely. he dnp'd at Fargo, but perhaps i was too hard on him for that.as far as rogers, his resume is vastly superior to anyone behind him.so he lost to Christensen? big deal. he also beat him twice recently, including 3 days prior to the loss, and in state finals.the garcia match was an inj. default.give me a justification for anyone else being ahead of him.the kid's been top 3 in everything.
tough one. thoroughly impressed with epperly over the last 9 months. but i can't put him ahead of Beard. in fact, i think i messed up by putting robertson behind him. robertson was 4th at 182 and placed high at 170 GR. that's something i might have to go back and negotiate next week.
Marsteller is a stud, no argument. What about Ep being #2. He just finished 4th at Fargo behind 3 guys who will be wrestling in college next year. Whacha think Willie, any more love for the C'burg boy?
http://www.flowrestling.org/coverage/249379-2012-Fila-University-Cadet-Freestyle-Nationals/video/639474-76-lbs-3rd-Chandler-Rogers-WA-vs-Andrew-Garcia-MIWillie, here is your forfeit match... Watch it!
Corey Griego Sultana CA should be middle to top ten on this list. Placed as a sophmore last year in CA @ 152. Beat MI's Jordan Wolfert at Americas Cup, also went undefeated this month in NE, and MI 16-0. Kid does not wrestle freestyle but you can watch some film -- kid is an animal. Beat PA's Sleigh by major I believe for what that's worth last week.
funny thing about garcia and rankings: when i first ranked him i had a bunch of people tell me i shouldn't have him in. now i take him out, and everyone says he should be in. ahhh. i need a beer.
Why did I think I could challenge your rankings Willie? Haha - You know your stuff. I still think he is rankable (not really a word) and before the end of the year he is going to be in your rankings Willie. lol :)
garcia went 2-2 at fargo. both losses to guys not close to be ranked. and that win over rogers was by forfeit. garcia beat no ranked wrestlers at fila's. he's a borderline rankable guy. recent results haven't been encouraging though.
I agree - I think Garcia should definitely be ranked. Watched him at Fila Cadet and also at Pan Am where he won gold for the USA. He deserves to be ranked imo.I am not sure of Arthur vs Garcia matchup because I have not seen Arthur wrestle in a few years but Garcia is tough. On a different note - Willie you do a great job - Keep up the great work.
