Leeth moves up here. He beat Bailey in Southern Plains finals.
He essentially fills the void left by Preisch who goes up two weights.

The funny thing is that Mark Hall could beat almost every 37 year old at wrestling and he is only 15. Mark has never wrestled younger kids to look good. Mark wrestles older and heavier kids and still whips on them. I remember him at national tournaments going up two age groups and up two weights and still winning the national tournament with ease. Mark will be 197 or HWT in college. He is cutting at least 20LBs just to make 152. Mark needs to go back to Davidson Michigan where his mom lives and where Davidson is ranked 10th in the country with all young underclassman. With Hall they have a chance at being national champs in two years.
Justin -I'm sorry that my phrasing was a little awkward. I wasn't directing any negative comments in your direction; I was just ruminating more generally.I think Joey Lavallee is a fantastic prospect and I'm pretty sure I was clear about that. I was just trying to find out if he was actively recruited by west coast programs. I never got an answer so I guess it's not any of my business .

Joey is not my kid. He is just an incredible athlete that deserves more respect. I know that many colleges wanted Joey and he choose Mizzu after visiting some schools. Yes, the west coast allowed a diamond to escape. As far as putting other kids down sorry if it came out that way I never meant to do so. There are a few kids ranked above him that he not only beat but handled. If Joey lost to anyone by 9 points I do not believe he would be still ranked. I'm not going to write another thing on here because everyone wants to be a smart ass from the other side of thier computer. I've allways said rankings mean nothing so I should really take my own advice.
I don't want to be accusatory. But, believing Hall may be 37 is the dictionary definition of naive and gullible.Unless you know a lot of 37 year old high school freshmen?
Sensative? We are not naive to believe that Hall is 37. Your intentions with the post were to insult Hall for being older, or that is how it came off as.I feel like I am talking to a brick wall, so I will concede to your lack of understanding.
Also, not for nothing, but common sense sort of dictates my response was so over the top, it shouldn't even warrant serious consideration as to whether or not it was accurate, let alone literal.
The only people who take it as an insult are people who do not understand humor.I do not apologize for my post. You need to get off your soap box. Who the hell would believe Hall is 37 years old? You guys are too sensitive.
Pablo,No where in his post did he infer that Hall had an unfair advantage over his opponent. He was just asking if Hall was held back, and that was it. You took it a step farther by slighting Hall. Whether that was your intention or not, you still did.I will accept your statement as an apology. Because we all know, as a grown man, you have some humility by admitting your post was ambigous and came off harshly. In the end, Hall will be one of the best. Even though he wrestles in Minnesota, he is still a Michigander and a product of the Davison youth system ran by one the best coaches in the country, Roy Hall (no relation to Mark).
You couldn't be more wrong, Brandon. My reply was in response to at least the 2nd or 3rd comment "yourkid isbetterthanmykid" made regarding a wrestler who he/she thought was left back and gained an unfair advantage.I was giving him a sarcastic, troll answer, in response to his troll-like posts. I was defending Hall, more than I was insulting him.
Speaking if 152's...Corey Rasheed looks like he still has some room to grow. I fully expect him to be ranked 1 - 3 in whatever weight class he winds up in next season. Joe Williamson saw this kid wrestle and I'm sure he agrees with me.
Why do so many folks around here find it necessary to put kids down to build their their kids up? I promise you it really doesn't matter if your kid is ranked 19th or 14th . Tigers obviously didnt care and they're big dogs.I'm curious if Cali schools schools let a backyard kid like Lavallee slip away? I already asked once so I'll ask twice: did any other programs actively recruit Joey L?
I didn't want to start an arguement just wanted Joey to get some respect, I believe he will get once he gets into college where there really isn't much to politic. NCAA results. I bet it does make Joe mad when he sees kids ranked higher than Joey when the last time they met the score was like 10-1. (#14)
No excuses it is what it is. yes Joey Lost to St Eds by 1 point and Blair in OT at The Iron man. What it appears is that you really punish him on his losses. but when other Top kids from The East coast lose a tight match , Your not so hard on them. in 2013 he had no losses to a none ranked kid. After the TOC when Joey got healthy he did not lose a match. and went on to beat 2 Cali State Champions one of them being a 145 flo Champion the other at 152 and Walsh. It really doesn't matter since he's already signed with Mizzu But if you look there is kids ahead of him he never lost too.
Pablo, obviously you intentions were to slight Mark Hall due to being older. Yes, he is ONE year older than most of his counterparts, but that doesn't negate the fact he has won the past TWO state championships in Minnesota, the first coming as a 14 yr old wrestling 18 yr olds. He was a runner-up in Kentucky, albeit not a front tier wrestling state, as a 13 yr old wrestling 18 yr olds. He holds no advantage over anyone he is wrestling right now. He would still be wrestling Cadets, even if he was a sopre. He would still be participating in the state tournament, even if he was a sopre. He would still beating top tier guys, even if he was a sopre. Get off his case. This kid loves wrestling and will be successful at every level
No need to be salty a blatantly obvious, sarcastic post went over your head.Unless you actually believe there are people who think Hall is 37 years old.......What is the proper protocol for presenting sarcasm? Are there some bullet points you can send me so in the future confused people such as yourself can grasp it better? Maybe make a little power point or something....lol
was it presented as sarcasm or am i supposed to guess if its another non-informed moron?
He had dozens of colleges interested and I think he made a good decision in Missouri.
Justin Ellmaker 5 hours agoAside from Lavallee's seemingly low ranking, which you backed up really well. I think you guys do a great job covering so many great wrestlers! Nevada doesn't have a college wrestling program so it is real easy for our kids to get looked over. Hopefully you guys at flo can help these kids get some more from colleges just by covering them.Mr. Ellmaker:I don't know if you're privy to this info but do you know how many colleges actively recruited Joey Lavallee?

I brought Lavallee to Super 32 and he not only got screwed but was wrestling with a broken hand. I do not want to argue with you just want you to remeber that some coach from Reno NV called it, Joey Lavallee NCAA Champ.
Lavallee has been up-and-down. he'll have a good tournament, then a not so good tournament. like not placing at Ironman as the top seed in Dec 2011, losing to an unranked guy at FloNats last year, and losing to two guys not even close to ranking at Super 32.1-2 vs ranked opponents at Ironman this year.1-1 vs ranked opponents in Reno.he's ranked about where he should be, especially up a weight.though i forgot to move Walsh down some.
While most kids were dropping weight, Lavallee handled everyone at senior nationals while going up a weight class. He aslo controlled (cpags), the flo champ earlier this season. How come you always rank this kid so low? He is by far the best kid to ever come from Nevada and I know once he gets into Missouri's wrestling room he will become a star. Just realy think he deserves more respect.
I was able to watch a couple of Mark Hall videos and that kid is a phenom. I read somewhere that he's a January baby and it looks like he was he was held back a year. Is that true?I hope he doesn't get bored or burnt out because he can be one of the all time greats.I'm glad that Corey Rasheed finally showed up in the top twenty. He destroyed his bracket at Junior National last week. My best guess is that he and Hall will bump up weight next season. I'd love to see those two get after it. Corey Rasheed is a pinning machine.
Looks like Short is going to drop and the freshman is #1. Who was the last freshman to be #1 in the country at 152? He may be the first.
Corey Rasheed belongs on this list. Why does NJ get so much respect if NY keeps beating NJ in best wrestler duals like this past weeks Pinning Down Autism meet?I'm new around here so please forgive my ignorance...
Corey Rasheed belongs on this list. Why does NJ get so much respect if NY keeps beating NJ in best wrestler duals like this past weeks Pinning Down Autism meets?
the rules in NY really prevent good wrestlers like Corey to compete against the top guys in the country during the season.... hopefully he wrestles some of the NJ guys this weekend at the Pinning Down Autism Duals... I think he is a top 10 guy for sure... time will tell
Don't you mean Matthews ran? Bova pushed the action in the third. 4-2 and chasing Matthews. Bova will be one to watch. D1 Talent there. Nice pickup for Clarion in Matthews.
Luke Wilson should make this list after handling #11 Shayne Tucker in the CA state finals
Willie , Seth Monty also won a state title in AZ... Im not sure if you have him as an HM or not
Willie we may want to start taking a look at Taylor Misuna from Virginia. He's a Junior placed 2nd in the state last year and won a State title this year beating Jack Bass.
Eads came back at 160. There was not enough time to get back to 152 before districts.
what doesn't make sense is people complaining that i didn't know that 1 single individual was out with an injury.i think i already stated that once. how many times are you going to bring it up?i didn't know he was hurt. i apologize. geez.
Willie...how can you rank these guys if you dont even know if they're competing or not...doesn't make sense...
Bradley: yes, i have to move him here.Eads: on second thought, i like him where he is. i wasn't aware of the injury. or i would have taken him out till he came back. is he expected back for the state series?mckenna i took out till he resumed competition. moisey i left in. chishko i left in but should have taken out. now the word is he'll be back this/next week
Isaiah Bradley has been going 152 all season and is expected to go there for the state tournament. Shouldnt he be ranked there?
Jhayes..No...what I'm saying is...if ur not COMPETING,there are wrestlers that are COMPETING that should be getting that recognition...Going with that same logic does not mean anything other than what I just stated...
75deac75, so ur saying if a wrestler is injured, they should drop from the rankings? So Chance and others should roll off the rankings until they compete again? Going with that same logic, wrestlers who don't compete against top quality opponents should drop off too.
Willie...My question is...why is he ranked at all...NO matches this season...Injured...Quality wrestler but if you're not performing...shouldn't be ranked..just my opinion...thanks for listening...
