A big migration to this weight: Kolodzik, Millhof, Jimenez, and Jeffries (who is up two weights).
Millhof took a loss to Brandon’s James Flint at the SE Regional.
Will Crisco, who was 3rd at both Preps and FILA’s, gets in.

What about Johnny Parada from California? lol. Just Kidding. He Doesn't deserve to be ranked. Not one bit!
Yea, I get it. You are a NY'er who thinks Jersey is overrated.I understood that the first day you started posting. No need to rehash it again, I get the point.
Pablo Escobar“ NJ hardly sent their top guys this year. ”And last year NJ sent (9) state champs and NY sent (3). Guess what? NY won.Like I wrote: maybe, just maybe, NJ isn't as good as you think.
Zach Hall just made Michigan fans very happy. GO BLUE!!! National Champs in 3 years and that is a fact.
Never said anything bad about NY wrestlers or NY period. NY has come a long way, stinks they can't travel. Was answering the question as to who in the top 20 he has beat. No disrespect to Fabian, good kid, dad and wrestler. Would just love to see more NY guys more often. Only one I have seen travel in the off season tonbig tournaments is Rodriguez-Spencer. Off season meaning after HS Nationals.
Lol the hits keep coming. One more time: either NJ wrestlers are overrated as a group or NY wrestlers are underrated. To keep things fair I'll admit it's probably a little bit of both. NY top dogs beating NJ top guys (3) years in a row at the Pinning Down Autism dual meet gives guidance to fair-minded folks. NJ - NY off season club meets tend to work out pretty well for NY as well.
Mr. Levine, I can't speak for any of the other guys in NJ, but, Giraldo has beaten ranked guys, Tate Robinson, Bryce Meredith, Judson Preskitt, he beat Rinaldi at BOE like 11-2. I don't necessarily agree with Fabian jumping into the place he did, considering Giraldo beat him twice before, but it is what it is. As his coach/mentor, has to keep working and getting better.
Clagon, Von Egidy were at Sr. Nationals and PLEASE flowrestling PLEASE ban this man
I initially wrote about some wreslters who should be ranked. First, to be ranked in the top 20 - wreslters should wrestle outside of their respective states. Many on the top 20 have not wrestled outside of their own state's borders just to protect their records. I have close relationship with St. Benedicts in Newark and have seen their team and Blair Academy for a number of years. Neither team "buys" wrestlers. Everyone knows or should know that. As for Alex Rinaldi - he captured third place honors at the Prep Nationals, he won first place at the NJ State Preps, he also won against the top teams in the country, including St. Edwards and James Robinson to name a few. He also went undefeated at Final Four and all other Post-Beast tournaments up to the Prep Nationals where he only lost one bout then later avenged it to capture the third place spot. He also only lost to Joey Dance 6-3 at Ironman - a tournament that many of your 20 do not even participate in - and he got Dance in the first match! Therefore, he should get some consideration over some of the others based on the caliber of competition , his wins, and the fact he was on a National Championship team.
Kudo's to Willie..beginning to accept the "NY" factor haha! The "tell me what ranked wrestler he has beaten" fallacy is moving toward the recognition that NY state does not permit their elite kids to answer that question when it really matters..that is, during the season. The door to the tournaments that the ranked kids wrestle (BOE, Ironman, etc) remains barred by the state association. Although Fabian did win NY State and eastern states brackets with multiple all americans in them, and still is just seeing the rankings now after his sr national title. You are getting better though, Willie! ;) ... To go to the offseason events and see ranking level competition, the families must bear the financial burden, which they cannot always do. You might only see a Corey Rasheed at Va Beach (where he naturally ripped through everyone). You didn't see Jose Rodriguez in the top 5 until he moved to Ohio and wrestled in these tournaments. I am curious to see if Rich Sisti (220) shows up (I pm'd you on him but I give you a pass on him since he had to withdraw last minute from Flo). So ends my rant, thanks for reading lol..
To a D1 University (Sacred Heart) who was smart enough to believe in him early on and will be rewarded handsomely for it. That is how you build a program. And they did a great job building their foundation around Fabian.I am not going to argue with you, you are obviously bitter about something - just check back within the next 5 years and let the results speak for themselves...
Greff,Just because you never heard of him doesn't mean anything. To set the record straight TJ Fabian is a 2013 NY State Champ and 2x NHSCA All American, including 2013 NHSCA National Champion.I guess you have been looking in the wrong places...
ARE YOU RELATED TO LI MARTIN? AND BY THE WAY WHO HAS FABIAN BEAT OF NOTE BESIDES A VERY CLOSE MATCH WITH GIRARDO? WHAT ARE HIS CREDENTIALS TO BE RANKED SO HIGH OUT OF NOWHERE? NOBODY ELSE HAS EVER HAD HIM RANKED AND NEVER WILL..I REST MY CASE
Didn't William Koll beat Fabian in the Upstate vs Li dual. I believe his only loss of the year.
except for Giraldo, who he beat in the AS match and outplaced last weekend?genius!and very objective.
Lmao you guys have made me see things your way. No NY wrestler should ever be ranked, because they would lose most "everytime"! BTW - does this include Klye Dake (NY)?
Didnt a few NY state champs get beaten by non NJ state champs at that all-star match?.......
I would argue that Fabian has never been ranked because NY wrestlers are generally given the short shrift when it comes to national rankings. It's looks a little silly to have 3 or 4 NJ wrestlers ranked at 26 and no NY wrestlers, especially when the NY champ beat the NJ champ head to head. It's really that simple and I respect Willie for recognizing this. Now if you want to make an argument that NJ are perhaps overrated then you could try that angle...might work better for you.
he has never been ranked and now he wins a very close match that he really should have lost in a charity match and he goes from unranked to #12 are you kidding ?
Of course! The top 26 kid from NY has no right being ranked, cause you know, NY is such a soft wrestling state. lol.
How can you rank three NJ wrestlers in the top 20 considering that only Geraldo wrestles outside the state of NJ? I cannot believe how you do not rank Alex Rinaldi from Blair Academy. He came in third at the prep nationals and wrestled Joey Dance to a very close 6-3 match. He also won all matches at Final Four and against St. Edwards in Ohio. While he wrestles the best in the country, somehow you penalize him for doing so, while letting wrestlers who rarely, if ever, wrestle beyond their state borders obtain a "national" ranking. I think Rinaldi ought to be ranked.
thoughts on zeke moisey getting hammered by unranked kid at PA regionals? oh wait i know, you show complete hometown bias toward him and he's completely OVERRATED.
Zach Hall I pray you go to U. of Michigan because it will be the team that wins it all in 3 years.
Willie, Question for you-What weight class would you look at for a kid like Jordan Shearer from West Fargo, ND?ND State Tournament goes like this:Thursday- Individual 1st round and Quarterfinals AND 1st round DualsFriday- Individual Semi-finals AND Dual Semi-finals and finalsSaturday- Individual FinalsShearer wrestled in the duals at 120 pounds for his team, but competed at 126 in the individual part of the tournament. What weight class would you rank him at?
North Dakota State Tournament wrapped up last weekend-Class B: Blake Bosch set the ND All-Time win record with 240 career wins. He finishes as a 3X State champ, 2X State Runner-up and was named Class "B" Mr. Wrestler. He had something like a 3.8 GPA. He is currently undecided as to where he will continue his wrestling careerClass A: Jordan Shearer became a 4X State champion. Shearer is only a Sopre and could potentially go on to win six North Dakota State Championships. No wrestler has ever won 6 ND State Titles, only three individuals have ever won five ND State Titles.
And Preskitt and Adams didn't wrestle at Ironman so what's that got to do with the price of rice in China? Moisey lost to Gaytan who lost to Lopez who lost to Preskitt. I don't take issue with where you have Adams rated. I take issue when you say "2) there is a significant gap between Moisey and the next ’tier’ of Adams/Kemerer etc." Umm, actually there's not in terms of talent. Maybe there is between Moisey and Kemmerer but Adams is every bit as good as anyone behind Dance. Kemmerer also beat Diehl and wrestled Dance within 2 points so he's not significantly at any level below the top tier either. Moisey doesn't even compete in FS does he? Comparing results that happen between different styles as being relevant is silly. Moisey might just go up to Fargo and get spanked like a baby.
significantly better? he's one spot higher.moisey won flonationals beating bade and nyama (who beat schram for the state title, beat schram at fargo, and beat cortez at fargo). nyama also placed at fargo where Adams went 3-2 and dnp'd. moisey also beat mcfadden at beast. the same mcfadden that beat preskitt, who outplaced adams 2-3 at ironman.adams' ranking has nothing to do with what state he's from. he's ranked exactly where he deserves to be.as far as diehl-kemrerer, you're talking about a total resume situation. one overtime ride-out win by kemerer at super32 doesn't mean everything. kemerer went on to lose like 3 times at ironman.
Moisey is significantly better than Adams, how? You state that as fact when you have nothing to prove otherwise since the two haven't wrestled since 8th grade and it was a close match at that time. For that matter if you did put any stock in that result, Adams also beat Zac Hall in the Tulsa finals in 8th grade. You lump Adams/Kemmerer into the same category? Maybe you didn't watch Adams eat Kemmerer's lunch at the Ironman then beat Ivan McClay like he hadn't been beaten in his HS career. Cortez beat Stroker 5-2 at Cheesehead while Adams beat Stroker 5-1 at USA finals. So are you going to tell me Cortez is on such a different level than Adams? Bottom line for you national raters is that you CAN'T understand how a kid from small town you've never heard of, in a state other than PA or IL, can be associated with the best in the country. It doesn't make sense so you just disregard the success as being some fluke or something. I don't care if you put Joey Dance or Schram ahead of Adams. Dance is the clear #1 in the country and Schram won at Fargo FS. But give credit where credit is due. How Diehl sits ahead of Kemmerer should be the biggest question out there. I guess Super 32 doesn't count.
almost without exception, i rank kids what they wrestle their state tournament at.
diehl's losses were to #1, #3, and #4Martinez, i like the kid. didn't realize he was at 126. i'll have to review his resume.
rodnoc, here's a fewDoug Johnson (DeKalb) over Jordan Northrup (No Mercy) (Dec 7-0,1-1)Cameron Kennedy (Team Overtime) over Jordan Northrup (No Mercy) (Dec 7-2,3-3,3-1)Trae Blackwell (Kentucky Blue) over Jordan Northrup (Illinois Navy) OT 7-5Seth Nehls (Unattached) over Jordan Northrup (Attrition) (Dec 5-3)
RE Valley: he doesn't have a rankable resume right now. win over Preskitt was nice, but what else?loss to unranked Jack at S32.
how is the 3rd place kid in the bracket the #6 in the country and the 2nd place kid now ranked #18 thats some BS
RE Gross: if memory serves me correct, Gross was higher than all of them after Fargo. losses made him drop a few spots.
I was watching last some matches from last year...how in the world is Deshun Brown not ranked?
