Chael Sonnen vs Anderson Silva THE REMATCH
We are just a few days away from the highly anticipated rematch between Anderson Silva and Chael Sonnen for the UFC middleweight title. These two fighters squared off in an epic battle at UFC 117 on August 7, 2010. As we all know Chael Sonnen took it to Anderson Silva in a way that no one had ever witnessed before. Chael Sonnen did this for four and a half rounds before being submitted by a triangle choke in the fifth round.

Leading up to the first fight we saw and heard Chael Sonnen bring one of the most over the top and well thought out verbal assaults have ever seen in sports. Chael insulted Silva, threatened him and made fun of him and his country. Repeatedly Chael said he was going to get in the cage and go right after Anderson, be relentless and beat him up for 5 rounds. This had everyone so intrigued not only because of what he was saying, but who he was saying it to and about.

The thing about it was that Anderson Silva had been so completely dominant in the UFC and made his opponents look like amateurs that it was hard to believe that Chael Sonnen would be able to do much more than those that had tried before him. Add his verbal assault/mental warfare/mind games and throw in his wrestling pedigree (something Silva had not faced before) and you had people salivating at the mouth for this fight to happen, myself included.

The fight definitely did not disappoint in excitement factor as myself and everyone at the sports bar was either on the edge of their seat or out of their chairs for the entire fight. And the end, oh the end, it was unbelievable. Everyone's jaw dropped and people were almost speechless, what we had just seen was epic and would go down in the history books.

Immediately I wanted to see a rematch, and I think a lot of other people felt the same way. Now here we are, alomst two years later and it's going to happen. This Saturday night in Las Vegas Anderson Silva vs Chael Sonnen THE REMATCH is going down. How do you think this fight will go down? Will Chael be able to impose his will on Silva like he did last time and avoid submission attempts for the full 25 minutes? Will Anderson Silva make adjustments to avoid the takedowns and get the better of Chael on the feet? Will something else happen or it go down a different way?
