Pray it Doesn't Rain June 7th
Pray it Doesn't Rain June 7th
In what could be the most epic environment (I'm not being sensational here) for an Olympic Trials final, we have Shawn Bunch facing off against either Coleman Scott or Reece Humphrey in the middle of TIMES SQUARE, NYC.
Here is what you have to do:
Pray it doesnt RAIN.
If there is one thing that could screw up the most epic Olympic Trials final ever, it's rain. God please dont make it rain in NYC on June 7th. These poor souls had to fill out 5 dozen permits across NYC, work with the US Olympic Committee and convince the wild life and refuge agency that they're not disrupting the native pigeon habitat in Times Square. Beat the Streets and USA Wrestling jumped through every possible hoop to make this happen, and right now rain is a 40% chance.
Coleman Scott
Dont Forget the first battle starts at 1pm where Coleman Scott faces off against Reece.
Below is the essential schedule for the event. Coleman has to win to keep the Oklahoma State Streak alive (Oklahoma State has had an Olympian represented in the Olympics every year since the beginning of wrestling in the Olympics). Sandwiched around the USA vs Russia matches, we will get a best out of 3 series for the Olympic spot between Bunch and the winner of Scott/Humphrey.
>1pm Coleman Scott/Reece Humphrey Wrestle-Off
>3pm Exhibition matches start
>5pm USA v.s. Russia/Olympic Trials best of 3
>8pm Reception & Awards Ceremony
Follow it all LIVE
How do I follow the event Live? Good news, Flowrestling will be going LIVE....with Twitter. NBC thinks because they paid $4 Billion (literally) for the Olympics that they get the trials video rights too?! The nerve...
Meet the Who's Who of the wrestling world by coming to the event.
Everyone comes out to the event reception. In the last 2 years alone, I met Billy Baldwin, the founder of Home Depot, Mike Malinconico, Louden Swain and every American Gold Medalist and college coach I can think of. The guys at the Beat the Streets really do it right because the environment and the people are sick!
