Theirs always gunna be those that think the Hawks are not going to win. Ill admit that last year things were a bit scary, but we managed to pull off another title without even one individual champ. It will be a cold day in hell before another team takes our title.

There was a lot of talk about Iowa running away with the title last year all the way up until the national tournament but it seemed like people stopped viewing those black and gold singlets as unstoppable. This year should be just as exciting, that would sure be something if Iowa State ended up winning it in KJ's first year as coach, and of course Tom Ryan has proven that he knows how to get a team ready for the big dance with two second place finishes in a row. I know one thing for sure... the season hasn't even started and I can't wait for Omaha!

In Illinios they limit how many tournaments, dual meets and even your offseason camps you can participate in. They also limit team participation in all three areas. So if you want some of your lower level or reserve guys to go to tounaments or dual meets they count against the varsity. Another ridiculous rule is current college wrestlers are not allowed to work out with current students during Thanksgiving or Christmas breaks.

I know there is a lot of talk about Iowa running away with the title again this season and some chatter about a couple of other schools in the mix for 2nd place. I think a lot of people are going to be surprised with Iowa State this year, they have a new coach and several wrestlers who should make some noise. There hasn't been much talk about this team, look for ISU to sneak by the mighty Hawks and win it all next March!

Kind of surprising, Rio is a major HOLE once you get about a 1/2 a mile from the coast. It will be interesting, it will be good for South America. It'll be interesting to see what the do with all of the barrio slums, and how they incorporate an actual sewer/ garbage system

OK. Sorry. I didn't mean any disrespect to Chicago. Perhaps I spoke a without knowing completely what I was talking about. I have been there too and quite enjoyed it.

I just wanted to point out that it used to be a very crucial part of the world in terms of manufacturing and transportation and I am not sure that it retains that status. My understanding is that it certainly was a center of refined art and architecture from the 1850s until sometime around World War I.

If you want to see how messed up Brazil is watch the documentary "Manda Bala." Crime has made its way into every stratum of Brazilian society, from top to bottom. Bad choice. Why do they keep having the Olympics in places with such terrible air quality?
