penn state will win multiple national titles now with sanderson as the coach. the problem before was recruiting. that's not going to be a problem anymore. pennsylvania has the best wrestlers in the nation, period and right behind PA are ohio and new jersey. all cael has to do is recruit heavily from these 3 states and penn state will be a powerhouse for years to come. the writing is on the wall. it's just too bad there are some inbred hicks from the midwest who can't read.

I've been hearing how good penn state is going to be next year for alot of years.
in reality only three teams win championships in wrestling anymore and 2 of them will always be on top |

if taylor doesn't redshirt this upcoming season penn state will already have a pretty formidable team
125-brad pataky 133-? 141-frank molinaro or david taylor 149-frank molinaro or david taylor 157-cyler sanderson 165-dan valimont 174-david erwin 184-ed ruth or quentin wright (one of them will have to redshirt) 197-luke macchiaroli (if he can make this weight. he wrestled 215 this year) 285-cameron wade that's a pretty solid lineup right off the bat for sanderson, and this is the lineup if bubba jenkins transfers too. if he doesn't they're even stronger. add in the altons next year and possibly marshall peppleman and jamie clark and look out. |

yeah he made a quality choice i know the alton bros will be at psu and that to me is huge for drilling over palmer sponseller and coaching staff but much respect to osu cause roselli is a BAMF coach!

David Taylor is probably the best young prospect in a while but college is a diffrent animal he will take a few lumps for awhile.Also is cael going to overcome the guilt for dumping Iowa State I think it has bothered him more than you think.

PA had 49 qualfiers at the NCAA championships in 2009, NJ was 2nd with only 28. PA has consistently had the most qualifers in the NCAA championships. PA produced the most all americans in 2009 with 12, NJ was 2nd with 10, followed by Ohio with 6. If PSU gets the big names in PA, they will dominate.

First off, Sanderson has proven he can coach taking his team to a runner up finish his first year, winning multiple big 12 championships...if he couldnt Penn State would have never acquired him and would have looked for a coach with PA roots. Now you have a big name at an school that can attract the best talent in PA.
Its a recipe for multiple championships and I could see it happening as early as next season. Everyone has to understand that PA has the most D1 schools for the PA wrestlers to choose from. Edinboro, Lock Haven, Clarion, Penn, Bucknell, Lehigh, East Stroudsburg, Drexel, Millersville, Bloomsburg, Pittsburgh) Im sure Im missing a few. These are all competitive d1 schools. If Sanderson/Penn State attract the best in PA they will become a powerhouse. Thats how Iowa does it. They attract the best in Iowa, and they only compete with Iowa State, and maybe N. Iowa. |

Ben Sergent a multiple State Champ from Troy Christian beat David Taylor in the 1st high school tourney of Taylors career (freshman year) at St Paris Graham On a contraversial false start call to tie the match and send it into overtime. where Sergent won, a week later Taylor avenged his loss by score of 8-4. Clark (a soon to be 3 timer) beat him his soph year.Taylor has beaten Clark the last 2 times they wrestle.

what a great birthday for me! penguins win at home and david taylor signs with penn state! sad to see all the buckeye fans turn on this kid so quickly just because he signed with penn state. dont worry buckeyes, penn state is the only team from the east coast to ever win a ncaa championship in wrestling and we're about to add another 10 or more titles! we are penn state!

He didn't waste either of Okie or Ohio State's time. I talked with his dad. He had 4 more official visits to take and he wanted to make sure he was making the right decision. He wasn't dragging the process out, David was just making sure he made the right one this time. It just so happened to be with the same coach thats all.
