adudeuknow...yeah i'd hate to be dustin fox, 2x all-american, national champ etc...
it should also be noted that as well as being a 2x greco champ at fargo, craig was also runner-up in FREESTYLE. he's not nearly as 'terrible' as you say...and i also look forward to his development at the college level, but please do not diminish the accomplishments of a young man who has had so much success in our sport, because he wrestles in a less conventional/popular way hardly makes it bad... |

this was the most biased ref ever!!
every single call was in favor of SPG! (takedown, escape, lightning fast nearfall counts) both teams, great. love wrestling, keep wrestling! |

Even with all the hate, I bet this kid is going to come back the next two years on a mission...I feel bad for his competition the next couple of years.

Elite Mass. Wrestling Club gets proactive against skin infections (shouldn't everyone?)
created 23 minutes ago by Gus Shlimbaum Lowell, Mass., March 16, 2010 – The prestigious Doughboy Wrestling Club in Lowell, Mass. has made its stance clear on skin infections – they aren’t going to be tolerated.
The Doughboy staff, which for years has preached an “old-school, no nonsense” approach with their youth and high school wrestlers, has taken that same attitude in battling potentially fatal skin infections like MRSA and Staph, as they had all of their facility’s mats protected recently with the Surface Antimicrobial System™ (SAS), a series of products from CSG New England, based in Acton, Mass. By taking this proactive measure against harmful germs and bacteria, the Doughboy club became the first wrestling facility in New England to receive a professional SAS application, which forms an antimicrobial barrier that continually inhibits the growth of harmful bacteria for up to two years, eliminating 99.9% of germs and bacteria. These products are environmentally friendly, non-toxic, non-sensitizing to human skin and hypoallergenic. Because of it’s high-contact nature and frequent exposure to blood and sweat on the mats, wrestling is one of the highest-risk sports when it comes to getting bacterial skin infections. A recent analysis by Molnlycke Health Care found that wrestlers who participate in tournaments and their teammates are 16 times more likely than the average person to be exposed MRSA. Few are more aware of wrestling’s issues with skin infections than Doughboy founder Mike Marshall, who has seen a great deal of them during his long tenure in the sport, prompting him to form a partnership with CSG New England in initiating this unique “zero-tolerance” policy against dangerous germs and bacteria at his facility. “In wrestling, there is so much physical contact that if steps aren't taken to prevent skin infections, it can spread through a whole team of kids,” Marshall said. “As an elite training facility, we are always looking to provide our student-athletes with the newest techniques in skill, weight training, mental preparation and overall health awareness. It is important to us to ensure our wrestling room is a safe environment and CSG New England helped us do that.” To learn more about CSG New England, or how to get SAS products at your school, organization or facility, visit http://www.csggermbusters.com, or call Dave Jack at 978-402-8377. |

ASHAME WINSTON ISNT IN IT THIS YEAR. HE BEAT VALLIMONT PRETTY GOOD THIS YEAR. 9-3 I BELIEVE. ALTHOUGH HE LOST TO MARABLE. HE COULD HAVE DONE SOME SERIOUS DAMAGE AT NCAA'S THIS YEAR.

It's not such a big upset...I don't know why so many people are saying that. Palmer has always been close to Metcalf, usually just losing by one or two points. Even the year in which Metcalf won the Hodge trophy, Palmer almost knocked off Metcalf (which incidentally makes me wonder how Metcalf got the Hodge considering he also got pinned by Caldwell that year).

he has lost three times. twice have came from Darrion Caldwell of North Carolina State, who pinned him once and also beat him 11-6 in the National Finals. His third loss came this year in the finals of the Big Ten Tournament, losing to Lance Palmer of Ohio State, 5-3

Wow, that first post is pretty ignorant seeing how Cook (CA) was never in any trouble and how Josephson (OR) was actually pinned and the ref was to late to call it

How did Alton have 'complete control' of the landing when both of his feet were off the mat when Springer made first contact? Some kind of Yoda trick? The video doesn't lie......pause the video @ 2:12.....Alton was airborn. I don't think he was intentionally trying to hurt the other guy......but this was clearly a slam (according to the definition). Mistakes happen......he got away with this one here. I'll bet if they had provisions for coach challenges and instant replay rules.....this would have been declared a slam.

This official was terrible. How you could miss the near fall points is beyond my comprehension. I don't understand how some of these clowns end up officiating at this level. It's truly sad.

112lbs Stephen Myers Moeller-OH Vs. Kory Mines Maple Heights-OH - Ohio State Tournament (GOhioCasts)
Myers is still a cadet this year he AA as a first year cadet last year you listen to the OH Gossip to much when he AAs again this year you can whine about something else.
Mines did what he had to to win "Get a lucky Call"and wrestle defensively with just enough offense to squeak by with a break or two ,because he was wrestling a true freshman that had better movement more offense and as much or more talent with the aggressive nature that is looked for in a good college wrestler from a kid much younger than him .When no one ties up and backs up 75 % of the time its hard to throw them, but it was obvious that Myers has the hips and skill of a great Freestyle Greco wrestler from his scrambles in this match .Mines is a 2x er congrats and good luck his HS career is over .Myers needs no luck he is simply on a different level than most his age |
